Vintage Sunbonnet Sue Tied Quilt 46” x 57” Handmade

Cute vintage baby quilt that is big enough to grow with your little one and become their favorite toddler blankie. There are 20 individual squares with golden yellow borders. Each square highlights a sunbonnet girl done in prints and solid colors. Most fabrics look like 30s-40s feed sacks, with some pretty prints from the 50s and 60s. Each girl is appliquéd to a white background with a double row of black thread for emphasis. The quilt top was placed on a piece of loosely woven fabric then the sweet backing was added. (The backing is an adorable soft print of baby toys rendered in muted pastels.) The quilt was then tied with light green embroidery thread. This handmade quilt is in good used condition with only one pale spot on one square (see last photo). Freshly hand washed and ready for your baby or toddler. Smoke- and pet-free home.
