Vintage Sandstone Cat with blue eyes

Feels like sand. I think she got this in Mexico?! At least 15 plus years old! Ceramic I’m sure but the outside feels like sand. It’s heavy! A few areas where the “sand” has worn off but hardly noticeable. Cute inside anywhere not sure if this could sit outside? Covered area yes! She’s really adorable!
