About the Authors:
Kevin Ambrose is the author of Blizzards and Snowstorms of Washington, D.C., and Great Blizzards of New York City. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Virginia.
Dan Henry won the 2001 Emmy Award for weather casting while at WJLA-TV in Washington and now works for Fox TV in Dallas, Texas. He holds a B.S. in Meteorology from Penn State University. He has covered many major weather events, including hurricanes Bertha, Bonnie, Emily, Fran, and Opal, the 1993 Storm of the Century, the Blizzard of 1996, the September 2001 tornado outbreak, and the La Plata Tornado.
Andy Weiss grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. He has a B.A. from Frostburg State University and an M.S. in Earth Science from Penn State University. Andy taught Meteorology and Earth Science at Robinson High School.
