This vintage Alpaca Mexico abalone bracelet is truly beautiful! It has abalone stone covering all the front of this cuff bracelet. The center has a flower design. In different angles as the light shines on it, you will see various color tones of pink, lavender, blue and green among the silver shine. The metal is most likely a mixture of metals (alloy). It has the Alpaca mark inside the bracelet.

disneygurl2u Note: Even though this is indeed a cuff bracelet, due it the full outer part of this bracelet covered in abalone this bracelet really is not bendable as so it truly is for a 6-6.5 inch wrist. Preferably a 6.5 inch wrist. I have a 6 inch wrist and it is a slight lose on me.

disneygurl2u I did my research and although you are right it is a common brand, this particular one that has abalone on the outside sells for up to $45 online used. Might be "common" but has also a thick layer of stone on the outside. I research before I post always and I will eventually be lowering the price!

disneygurl2u I NEVER PRACTICE PRICE GAUGING. This is a vintage bracelet so that is considered as well as its quality when I price an item. I encourage you to look up this particular bracelet from this brand and then you will find that I am indeed right.

disneygurl2u Actually I could say the same about some of the items you are selling like those 1980s enamel bracelets that I still come across often at antique and thrift stores in the past.

disneygurl2u Actually if you want to be critical let me suggest you crack down on the people on Poshmark who are selling Alpaca brand jewelry and claiming the jewelry is sterling silver! Even in general, lots of costume jewelry especially most Brighton and most watches sold here are basically stainless and/silver plated- NOT sterling silver

petsitterlinda @rena2u Hi, I just want to help out a bit here on defining "Alpaca" jewelry. Alpaca is not a brand of jewelry, nor is it a place. It is the metal that the piece is made of. There is no silver in it at all. It is actually a metal alloy of , copper, nickel and either zinc or iron.

disneygurl2u I am aware of that, and I also know that there are alpaca animals. I did my research and have seen how much a large cuff bracelet with abalone goes for on ebay. I am also aware it is not sterling silver. But thank you for the information on the metal. I will change the description and will be lowering the price on it. Yes, I have seen these particular bracelets for sale for $45 on ebay!

disneygurl2u To clarify, the only ones selling for $45 on ebay are the one with the thick layer of abalone, not the other much smaller bracelets.

disneygurl2u But I do notice that there are quite a few sellers that state in their description that the jewelry from this brand - marked Alpaca, Mexico in the bracelet, are sterling silver which is obviously false information.

disneygurl2u I have received an amazing education being on Poshmark. I am learning about jewelry. Recently I have found that yes sometimes “Alpaca” Mexican jewelry can be sterling silver but it is usually mixed metal alloy. Bare with me as I still am learning these things. This bracelet has not been tested for sterling silver however. There is a small chance it can actually be.
