The Ayaka Agate featured in this necklace has many textural, colorful & healing properties to make it extra special. It often looks like a Jasper, but is classified as an agate, due to the occasional lakes & rivers of semi-transparent stone in it. The stone can have a “painterly appearance,” with seeming brushstrokes of color. Th AYAKA is treated in a variety of ways too. From its raw form, each bead or pendant stone can be lightly polished to a smooth matte finish, or dyed any number of brilliant colors. The necklace I made with this rectangular Ayaka stone has a cobalt blue body with ivory, brown & gray accents.
