Lol! I was using talk text last night and and it's terrible understanding a Jersey accent, it deciphered so terribly; I ended up texting my neighbor, telling her I was driving home with a tree in the roof and drugs in my bra! 😂

I got kind of worried, I was thinking, "She's either laughing hysterically or calling child services!" I'll lol now that I didn't haven't anyone with a clipboard knocking at my door today! My family and I have all been born and raised here, so I don't hear the accent(s); it's kind of funny to see peoples' reactions to hearing us speak.

I very unfortunately lived in NC for a few years and nobody could understand us when we'd go to dinner and whatnot and we'd get entirely too frustrated waiting for them to finish a sentence; and I'm considered a "fast talker" to people here and I'm an extremely impatient person, so you can imagine)! I think I've been everywhere but CA. I find it to be intimidating. I imagine everyone tan and beautiful and I feel like Wednesday Adams! Lol! You, my dear, are one of the beautiful ones. Xo

That's so funny @maureen888 I got my Dad using Siri, and she always goofs or says "I don't understand what you mean"... Try having a cold and using the dictaphone (happened to me several times), and everything comes out jumbled :D NJ is awesome. I have friends in Cherry Hill (I think). They are the nicest family...

I have to slow down + sip my sweet tea when I'm there :D It's quite a process... I have a blend of New Yorker and California and Chicago in me, so I get the impatient vibe - lol!!

@ninaville Gah. Sweet tea! Unsweetened tea! Any kind of tea. I think it's linked to a childhood trauma bc I have absolutely no idea why it makes me want to hurl just thinking about anything but a Long Island Iced Tea, at least then I know why my stomach would turn! Lol! I just can't slow down, it's absolutely no wonder Henry is the same, you can't stop him for anything. You have to just carry food around and jam it in his mouth while he's whizzing by.

He can't be bothered with anything, he's got things to do and he stops for nothing or no one! Lol! The most precious is when he's just tired enough to be still, which is probably only if he's sick, and I sing to him softly and he stares in amazement like I can sing or something. Lol! Poor kid! No, he's a lucky kiddo. The world is his oyster and I don't let anyone get in his way. I don't control him, he controls me. It's a tiring parenting style, but I think it's the best.

Don't get me wrong, that kiddo has got a very structured day, and he has been doing his own chores for about six months now, but as far as the rest of his day, it's all his! People are amazed that at his age he gets up and goes about a routine with housework and has no qualms about it.

He has structure and routine and he's so, so happy to help; and on days I don't feel well, he goes and turns on the washing machine and comes running through with his vacuum cleaner and cleaning products and picks up my slack.. he's such a character. He DEF takes after me! Polite, always laughing, impatient, hilarious, gorgeous, and very serious. He'll also smack you clean across the face if you touch him! Yep! He's mine!
