hopesparkles ✨ @sheerpoetry Yes, I'm so glad we met here! But, I sold makeup for 3 years in HS in the mall and it's actually against the law to sell makeup that's used as it can transmit communicable diseases including HIV and other viruses, bacteria, etc. Same goes for swimwear and underwear that have been worn. And, the reason perfume and nail polish can't be sold isn't Posh's fault. They use the USPS for their shipping vendor and USPS does not allow anything flammable. Any time I've sold that "Wonder" perfume from my FB group I had to use UPS or FedEx. 😉✨

hopesparkles @bamagirl017 Yes, by all means! I just found it on one of Posh's threads clicking around and thought the same thing. I've wanted a definitive answer on some of these questions since I wanted to listed makeup. And because I was tired of seeing used makeup, swimsuits, etc. listed. It makes me say ew when I see them and worse when I see people actually buy it!

hopesparkles @jensasser I'm so glad I could help, but I noticed you have some swimsuit tops not labeled NWT. You might want to label them NWT or delete them if they're not new per the rules above. Also, I noticed scrolling through again you also have hand towels and curlers sold that I didn't notice before that fall under electronics and housewares. But, like the Tink & Cricut I guess you can't delete them since they're sold already. Other than those things your closet has cleaned up very well! 😊

I'm very passionate about our community upholding Poshmark's Guidelines for Women's Fashion & Accessories only paid for using their transactions. They have created this great platform for us to showcase our items, meet great PFFs, earn some money, shop a variety of items from all over the country, have virtual & live parties, PoshFest and more. So at the very least we need to uphold their guidelines and make sure they get their commission for all the work they've done to give us this great infrastructure to Posh! 💃✨

the_purple_iris I just wanted to vent....I just shared an item not realizing it was a kids jacket! I am so annoyed! I am finding more and more item on PM that are not following the rules....now I am finding guys selling there clothes! People are still selling shampoo, used perfume, used makeup, kid pools, sewing machine, xbox, used baby bottles....so many more!!! what can we do, this is very frustrating! Most of the time they listen & clean up their closets, but 1 time it back fired but only because the person was very very young either by real age or immaturity. hopesparkles @tinatz3 I feel the SAME way, but here's the thing... Poshmark can't audit yet every single listing for items we aren't supposed to sell. They have blocked the word and initials for P a y P a l with a "bot" that proofs every listing & comment that gets posted to check for that name but as you can see I got around it by putting spaces in between just like I saw someone else do!!! The bot needs to include what I posted! So, though no one wants to tattle we need to all pitch in and make this community safe especially in cases of replicas/fakes, "other off PM payment", used items like swimsuits, undergarments, and make up (EW!), nail polish & perfume, men selling men's, etc. they need to get reported. These are blatant rule breaking that in most cases are breaking laws not just PM rules. In cases of minor rules of just 1 or 2 things in a full closet I try to mentor the person with something like this...

And, I'd ❤️ to Buy/Share/Follow but I'm trying to be a Host in one of the evening parties & they audit who we Buy from/Share/Follow. And I've noticed some things could prevent me from that but more importantly if someone reported you, you could get your privileges suspended or could get banned. I'd hate to see that happen to you, but there are several things that are red flags... One, is this listing which is a Used Swimsuit as we can only sell NWT or NWOT Swimsuits, Undergarments & Makeup (you have a couple used cosmetics too). Other listings are Nail Polish & Perfume. Nail Polish & Perfume is banned from Poshmark because they use Posh Post to ship through the USPS which bans flammables like Perfume & Nail Polish. I would delete these asap. Lastly, we're not supposed to use P a y P a l because Poshmark uses their time, money, resources to build this great app, market for us, handle the credit card processing, negotiate great shipping prices, have shopping parties, Posh Fest, etc. and they deserve their 20% cut. I would stop taking that form of payment & delete all those listings asap as they could get you banned immediately. Then write on my "Meet your grateful Poshmate" listing letting me know that you've cleaned up your closet then I'll Follow/Share and may Buy in the future. 😉 I just wanted to let you know so you don't get into trouble. And, because I'd like to refer you to a Host for a Host Pick. Hosts only pick from closets that follow the rules. Hope it helps. Just spreading some Posh 💗 in my 1 year anniversary month! ✨"

Oh and you'd be surprised, a LOT of expensive items sell on here. I've seen $3,000 bags, $1,000 shoes, $500 jeans, etc. all sell on here. Just price things in a way that gets you the $ you want after the PM 20%. Hope this helps!

hopesparkles 🌸💖🌺@yasmeen20 New Cosmetics are ok, but lotions, creams, bath/body products, perfume, etc. are not. I went through your closet and placed a 🚫 on items that should be deleted. There are some that are already Sold that we can't do anything about, but items related to the Bundle still should be deleted to minimize the amount of listings that are on the prohibited list. Hope all the tips help! 🌺💖🌸

hopesparkles ✨ @lexihackler Hi! I'm so glad to see you deleted the FB items! But if you read the Poshmark rules above you'll see that underwear have to be New. If you feel you only 'tried on' the bra 5 times vs 'wore' then just edit the listing as NWOT (New Without Tags). Also, you'll see non-fashion and/or electronic items like the Vape items are not allowed. As soon as you fix the bra listing and delete the Vape items I will Follow and add you to my Host Pick referral list. I helped @kristapuc and within 1 week Krista had 2 Host Picks! ✨

hopesparkles @cindyklatt They fall under Health & Wellness. We can't sell any creams, gels, lotions, cleansers, balms, etc. regardless of how high end. We can only sell New Makeup per an email Poshmark sent me, their FAQs, and the fact they removed my 4 listings of "h2o bath & body line".

vacat You may want to add that mascara, lip gloss, and liquid foundation are against policy. Although makeup, they are liquids and ALL liquids are non-allowed items. Looks great!

Btw, The squares above are snapshots of Poshmark's blog. So you would think that they would have mentioned it there. vacat Yes, I did. Check @queenmumm. She has a listing announcing her blog of "Poshable or not Poshable" that she compiled, working with Poshmark, that is completely thorough. It's the best description yet (wish I'd thought of that LOL). If they're redoing the list again, I'm sure she knows the changes. There's some surprising things in there too - key chains are not allowed. Def check it out, since she's the best link to what's allowed/not allowed.

queenmumm @vacat Hey Holly! Thank you so much for suggesting the blog. Just remember that updates occur frequently and are reflected on the blog but not necessarily on the PM listing. Keychains ARE allowed. Lip gloss and Mascara ARE allowed, but other liquids are not. It still has much to do with accessing alcohol content - there are various names for alcohol on ingredient lists. You can always see when I last updated (date on the article is shown right before the part about fake handbags) Christa, thanks for letting me post this here. I'm hoping that Posh creates a detailed list of their own, too! 😊😊😊

As I mentioned to Holly @vacat I'm actually working with Poshmark to get the most accurate up to date list as I've been mentoring a lot of people who ask me to Follow them when they have unsupported items in their closet and I want to help them clean up their closet before I Follow them. Also because I'm on the User Forum committee at @official_forum Currently the USPS only lists Alcohol and Perfume as Liquids that can not be shipped. So, you're absolutely right lip gloss and mascara aren't included in the banned list and CAN be sold. However, one PM rep said yes we can sell Foundation and one said no. I'm trying to get clarification on that as I've never seen an alcohols in Foundation as they would dry the skin out. Also, Poshmark themselves are trying to get one uniform list in one place. I've asked that they email me the list too. Lastly, I didn't know key chains couldn't be sold at one time, lol! Lastly, there is some discrepancy about Bathing Suits vs Underwear being NWT vs NWOT. I'm waiting for an answer from PM for that too. Thanks again Brenda and Holly! 😘

Try to share back those that share for you. It might help to make a list and go down the list a couple closets at a time when you can until you reach the bottom then start over again. Add new friends to the list as you go. Even if it's just a couple items. Some people do look at what kind if sharer you are before sharing or following. Only share posh rule following closets. Share your closet, too. Some people look to see how active you are before sharing or following, as well. Get on as many follow games as you can. They do help. Personally, I like meet the seller listings. It adds a connection, it invites people to comment or open a conversation. A great way to meet people. I'm so sorry for the delay as I've been sick 😷 I requested to be a SU back on 12/23/14 2 days after I Co-Hosted my 1st party, "Style Muse" on 12/21/14 and have been waiting patiently. What was their reply when you asked? As for the Forum Tammy Lewis @luvieboo2 is the Founder of the Forum and Rochelle @larochelle is a Co-Manager. I asked them if I could be a Contributor and they added me. Since then we've added 6 others and there's a total of 9. Lastly, I personally do not Shop, Share, Like, Follow, Buy from non-Posh rule following closets until I can coach them. Poshmark does not condone Poshers who brake the rules and therefore to condone another Poshers behavior before they clean up their closets sends them the wrong message - that it's alright for them to break the rules. So, I go to one of the banned items listings and I leave them a note like this: ✨💖🌺 Hi! You've got a super cute closet! Thanks for Liking/Sharing my Follower Game, but I'm going to be a host in another evening party and PM audits who we Follow, Share, Like, Buy from, etc. And you have several banned items in your closet like perfume, nail polish, and under garments that aren't NWTs which are against PM rules and could prevent me from co-hosting, but more importantly can get your items removed, your privileges suspended, or you banned from PM if someone reported you. I'd hate to see that happen because I'd like to refer you to the Hosts of parties to get you Host Picks in addition to my upcoming party! I hope this helps! Btw, in 6 months I've gotten 130+ Host Picks and cohosted on 12/21/14 because I have a rule following closet. I do hope my tips help and if you have any questions please feel free to ask! I've been told personally, by Posh, that liquid makeup is not allowed. The only reason Posh has this rule is because the USPS is supposed to be informed if there are any liquids in a package. Not all Poshers would do this... You are absolutely allowed to ship these items, so I know why you were able to from your FB sale. I don't know if you know but Perfume is prohibited because it's flammable and can't be sent using Priority Mail which is what Posh Post uses. And Lotions are considered "Health & Wellness" in addition to being liquid both of which are prohibited as well. I just thought you'd like to know because I'd hate to see your privileges suspended if someone reported you. Please see above for all the items we can/can't sell. Hope my tips help! 👆✨

I apologize for all the details below, but I want to make sure that you have all the information at your finger tips. Especially since I'm not sure if I mentioned before but I am a Poshmark Party Co-Host. In order to be chosen they have to vet you & your closet and train you on Poshmark policies. And as beautiful as Dee's Children's clothes are as well as so many others are, just because we see them doesn't mean they are approved. In fact PM emails the Co-Hosts a list of all the items that are prohibited which can be found in this "Can you list it?" listing in my closet. Also here is the link to their policies: https://poshmark.com/community_guidelines And here is their mission statement: "WHAT POSHMARK IS FOR Women's Fashion and Accessories. Poshmark is a place for women's fashion, accessories, and new makeup products. Pre-owned clothing and accessories can be listed on Poshmark if they are clean and in good condition. However all makeup must be brand new, unswatched, and in it's original packaging. Handmade women's fashion and accessories are also welcome." And here is their statement to the contrary: "WHAT POSHMARK IS NOT FOR Non-Women's Fashion and Accessories Items. Don't buy or sell any goods or services through Poshmark other than women's fashion and accessories items. I was stating that I am a Co-Host. My party was 12/21/14. They sent me the list of what is/isn't allowed along with the links I gave you. And, they reiterated that "WHAT POSHMARK IS FOR Women's Fashion and Accessories." and ""WHAT POSHMARK IS -NOT- FOR Non-Women's Fashion and Accessories Items." Knowing that most people want to read the rules from the source, is exactly why I gave Poshmark's urls so that you could read their "Community Guidelines" page and their "Prohibited Items Policy" pages where you could take your time and read all the details from Poshmark's words at your leisure.✨ And, with that I must get something to eat. It's like "Blurred Lines" and where do we draw the line? If it is indeed a medically proven fact,that communicable diseases can be transferred via used swimsuits or underwear,then it CAN also be transmitted via used slacks or jeans.So does Poshmark now go in & ask all sellers to remove those particular used items? NO They don't,and WHY,because they then stand to lose too much money.So as far as I'm concerned,when a site allows certain things on their site,that should NOT be allowed,then don't complain if someone DARES to list BRAND NEW childrens clothing on their site.Right is right,and wrong is wrong in my not so humble opinion!

raquel91407 @hopesparkles I understand most but all famous stores do sell the nailpolishes here in New York 5th Ave and Rodeo Drive! It's a number or piece of paper we just get from the UPS USPO FED EX...Ans they do take such like the nail polish I wasn't selling from LV... I got it and now I came with an agreement if price and sold to LV in France (main office) they should own it.. the last one I owned but thought again they should have it!

raquel91407 @hopesparkles also the CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN I ALSO OWN their polishes and they sent them to me.. I have that paper that they give, the lost office that is, they give a paper I guess for those transportations company! One of the main owners is a very well known designer.. she sells her perfumes! I just don't know about this the perfume and nail polishes!!

raquel91407 @hopesparkles nothing that's important.. it's ok... I too suffer my disc have 2 back surgeries and now again they want another one! To b honest warm weather really doesn't help that much, well at least to me. Even when it rains it get to me!! I have my left leg and foot so huge that I thinkbitooks like the "FLINSTONES FEET" honestly it does.. I cannot stand more than 20 minutes. I have to rest so pain will go away!! Truly I really don't want the surgery but my mind let's see' Hate this !!

raquel91407 @hopesparkles since 2000 I fell and it cause me to have a herniated disc, then in2003?another one and another surgery... I've been holding this for years not to have my 3tf surgery! And fibromyalgia is also well known to measure well and now recently they neck they did an MRI.. that all I needed and in the island I could tell when it was going to rain my jaw hurta me so much! I hate mentioning as I felt don't want the pains to hear measurements..LOL
