It has come to my attention recently that there are ‘haters’ who have targeted my closet for reasons I do not understand ( nor do I care to) and continue to report me for selling counterfeit items. With all that’s going on in the world right now, it’s so very important that we treat each other with dignity and respect. It’s perfectly fine if we do not like one another (if everyone likes you you’re probably doing something wrong🤔) We DO however need to conduct ourselves in a manner that speaks

heymisssmelisss I’m still new and learning. How do you know if an item has been reported as counterfeit? And, how do you know you’ve been blocked and does it matter if you have? PM shut down my closet for a few days and I never knew why. I asked but was not given a reason.

The only way you know is when you try and comment/share and it says you cannot. But it is closet specific. I reserve blocking for people who are CLEARLY harassing or lowballing. As for having your closet shut down…

fccandles @heymisssmelisss that happens when you are breaking posh rules. Selling counterfeit, harassing or spamming, selling off platform are most common. Sometimes it’s someone who has more time then sense and spends it reporting you … 🤨

nananellasrooms Fabulous messages you have here. It’s a shame you had to deal with this behavior at all. I’ve been blocked by closets who continue to share my items so I can never reciprocate. Never knew the why’s either. I’m learning you have to try and not let people like that win and get what they want. You have the support of all who are here to help one another rather than trying to take someone down. Don’t let them win and fight for your business if it starts affecting it!

I created an advocacy platform called The Gentlewoman Boss after my horrible experience with haters & bullies in the workplace - most of them other women, so I'm grateful when I see other women speak up on this. tallchelly Because of your page, I redid the listing prices to lowest but fair firm price only, added that note to each listing, and then added a page about my closet price structure and reason. I'm hopefully this will avoid future issues (although I still had a couple people continue to send low offers after expressly saying don't do that), oy vey
