Escada Black Velvet Trousers

Vintage 90s (?) Escada Couture black velvet trousers. Made in Italy. I’m not sure what the material is - this doesn’t feel like a silk blend velvet, but it’s very soft and lush. Unlined, 2 side pockets, button & zipper side closure. These are supposed to sit high-waisted I believe with a slightly tapered leg, but still a relatively wide leg (shouldn’t be too slim fitting). Pleating in waist. Tagged size 44 which must be European sizing. These fit like a Women’s L/XL. I’m a S/M 29” waist 5’5” and these are too big on me. Unisex. In good used condition with no noticeable flaws besides the clear button has cracking (this is an internal closure and could be replaced easily if it broke).
