@ashjesh i read a lady sold $8,000 watch,buyer tried to scam saying it was some cheap thing,The seller videoed at Post Office the transaction,it now become a felony for the scammer! Anything over $100 i now set up shop & video/pack at the PO!I retired w/20yrs before nursing and wish i would of thought of it sooner lol

@kpposhqueen well I hope the damage wasn't so much that you can't resell them. The truth is that without proof it's a he said/she said scenario, ya know? Unfortunately for us, if someone has the desire to be dishonest, we suffer bc of it. Going forward I'm going to do a quick video for sure! I lost my case and the shoes were returned. Luckily it wasn't too much damage that I couldn't fix it.

@wantsandneeds yeah I agree. The buyer said fabric was defective across the back and there was a long loose thread. Didn't notice the back so I can't argue. The thread tho, I always check for when packing, and the photo she sent me of the thread was definitely something I would not have missed. Now, what makes me angry is the dress came back with white stains on the chest that continues to the lap area.

@kpposhqueen aw man, I'm sorry! that's awful! At least you learned a lesson...even if it had to be the hard way 😢 No resolution for me really. They just sent the shoes back so I need to fix what I can and repost them. Luckily it isn't anything too bad. I'll get around to it at some point.

@ifeelpretty2 Hi Carol. Welcome and thank you! 😃 This greatly helps both ways. Your listing photos are it for your buyer on here. Then these ones you keep for your records at least until acceptance of purchase and money deposited into your account. You can delete after that. Hope this helps. @hellymh Hi Helene. Welcome! Who knows what they really do, but I've seen where they do damage items sadly. I take still pictures and video before packing, while packing, and when packed. Then I also get a shipping proof. Hope this helps.

@soireegoodies4u Hi. Sorry I don't. I can definitely help give you some tips.😊 Keep the video short and simple. I get the items needed for packaging and the item ready before I start recording. Record the item purchased from all angles: front, back, sides, and inside. I also take still pics for just in case. Make sure there's good lighting so everything is clean and clear as much as possible. Hope this helps. 💕

I know it's a little tricky. 😊 Oh haha in the beginning I used to have my hubby help, but over time figured a good packing spot where I can just put my phone against something steady while I pack. Took a bit to get it down but eventually happened. I do this with high value items mostly, else still pics are good. Oh pls drive safely. Let's catch up when you're stopped.😊

Good idea. Posh has screwed me twice. I had photos and everything but apparently that wasn’t good enough. The buyer totally damaged my high end bag then returned it. It was a terrible experience. I’m strongly considering leaving Poshmark because of it. There has to be a better way and Poshmark should value their top rated sellers more.

Seeing it again tonight piqued my interest, so I decided to read all the comments, and WOW I’m shocked at all of these stories. Just out of curiosity what happens if a buyer tries to claim they didn't receive the item even if the tracking info contradicts their claim? I've made my first sales this week and I'm a little nervous about this happening. I used to run a store and had this happen a few times...

@jlarthur98 First of all congratulations on your sales and welcome to Poshmark!🤗 Buyers would open up a claim and you'll know. If it's a fair claim, buyer will get a refund and you'll still get paid because it's the carrier's fault.😊

My friend was telling me she got burned as well. She said she sent out a beautiful purse and the buyer returned it saying it had a funky smell. Turns out the buyer received the item in time for the weekend, partied with it, then Monday morning wouldn’t accept the item. Now she only ships knowing her items will arrive after the weekend but still within the 3 day limit for buyers to accept or not. So sad.

Hi Share Buddy, I have been seeing this listing for a while and had my first dishonest customer sale. I sold a brand new pair of shoes in box, checked everything to make sure its okay, and got a claim from the buyer that the Soles on both shoes were off when they opened the box, and that was not the case. I was baffled. I believe they had a pair similar to my shoes I shipped and took photos of their damaged shoes.

@ashjesh I had an item returned, i think it was buyers remorse so I did block the person. They claimed there was pilling on a sweater jkt. I was able to resell and received 5* rating, go figure? Is there a way bad buyers/sellers closet can be shared so others can block?

@lynnapi Oh no! Sorry about your experience! Terrible! Usually I let my PFFs know by going to an old deep buried listing and tell them. Don't put the "@" sign in from of the buyer's name though. Lol! I had one recently where they gave a 4 star just because they decided they don't like the item anymore. 🙈🙈🙈

Thank you for all of the great tips on here. I have been on here for two years and had 2 claims against me. One ruled in my favor bc the buyer eventually stated she ripped the sweater while washing it, and the other where posh called a tie. This is a great idea. I need to do this more. do you do it for lower priced items? I dont sell high ticket.

Wow amazing idea I need to due this. I have sold a pair of beautiful hardly worn like new Tory Burch flats it was send back destroyed I legit sobbed seeing the package destroyed

@fashion_rx Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. That is so so frustrating. I've had a couple of times at least where I've experienced some issues but luckily I've always had proof to support myself. Better to be cautious upfront for sure.
