P.s. if you have an advice on how to get my closet moving I would greatly appreciate it, I barely signed up for Poshmark 2 days ago. I can see you do well on here so any advice would help! Who "welcome" newbies. Pressed post when I was trying to backspace. Anyway, also, I watch for upcoming party hosts that I know and tag them with your closet. Watch for upcoming parties in the evening. Also, share yours and other Poshers listings. Read my followers vs. following. That helps understand it better. In order to get a host pick you must follow posh guidelines as what can/cannot be sold. I didn't see anything that was not allowed in your closet. Good luck & I will introduce you to some of my PFF's.

@cdcarino No, not on Posh. You can not have groups on Posh. This is on fb but closed. In other words, your friends and family can not see anything, only you. It is made up of all ages, many women sell on multiple sites. It's a very good way to learn first hand what's going on, to vent, to learn selling tips, etc.

Lol. I'll take 3 at that price...no pun intend... That's such a fun age. I wasn't blessed with children, only fur babies who think they are human. They grow so fast, I've been fortunate that my friend's have shared their kids with us. Enjoy her now before you have to wrap the house in barbed wire to keep the boys away! ;)

@cdcarino okay, so a girl bought something from me last week, she sent me an offer for less than what I was asking and I accepted. Well today I received a notice saying she had accepted my item and rated me, and I couldn't help but notice she had re-listed the item I sold her, using my photos, and asking double what I sold it to her for. I'm not sure what to do, but I didn't give her permission to use my photos!

@josiiih I can see how that's definitely something unease to deal with at times but I know I am definitely someone who relists things if they don't work out like I thought, which I think it's totally normal since it's only shopping. My point of view is once someone buys it it's theirs to do what they want with it. I know you're probably fine with that part but as far as the listing price honestly it may just be a selling technique.

@josiiih I personally start off new listings at about 30-40% more than my lowest comfortable price b/c I make room to reduce and send out notices after it builds likes - that may just be what she is doing too. Just make sure you're always comfortable w/ your selling price b/c things like this do come up. The main thing I can see is a toughy to deal w/ is the photos. I would suggest let this sit for a bit. See how you feel about it in a few days. If it still is uncool to you.

@josiiih You can definitely kindly ask her if she can take her own photos of the item (maybe she just hasn't had time yet - I have done that before until I had time to take my own). If she never changes it then you can always comment.. Let her know you're cool w/ her relisting but would just like to ask if she can use her photos since you personally take a lot of time to take photos that for your closet. As long as you're polite about it - it's the best you can do.

@brooke_ashton Hi! I took a look at your closet and you have a very nice selection. I definitely suggest to keep in mind and give yourself room to markdown items by 10% intervals when you list a new items. Also known as "price high drop low." It helps bc you can send out reduced shipping notices for your items once they reach a good amount of likes. (Also like all your own items so you can see what these notices look like when they happen)...

@brooke_ashton Make sure to share your closet often. Follow new closets you like when you can, and just keep attending posh parties! Majority of buyers want some kind of negotiating room when buying an item so keep that in mind when pricing! The new bundle option is awesome too!

@djm0214 Hello! For my photos I use the snapseed app and occasionally vscocam. Some of my photos are taken with my Canon DSLR camera and some with my iPhone. To get more followers I always just suggesting sharing as much as you can and participate in evening parties! Share/congratulate picks you like from the Host Picks showroom if you can :) I hope that helps!!

I'm always on the lookout for ways to improve my photography- I'll have to check out Snapseed & VSCO cam- I'm using Photoshop Express on my iPhone right now, but some of the photos can turn out grainy... Do you use any sort of special lighting rig, or is it all natural?

Thank you @annkdonnelly! It is all natural lighting. Snapseed is the main app I use to make the backgrounds crisp & white. The wall I photograph tops against is actually a soft pastel yellow & the snapseed "Selective" tool allows me to select only the background, reduce the saturation & slightly brighten. The "tune image" feature allows me to adjust shadows & correct color variations, etc...

@annkdonnelly I photograph mostly everything else on a white table top - it helps a ton for that consistent look. :) I use vscocam much less, occasionally for a cover photo but not always.

@cdcarino That's all excellent advice, thank you! I've just started to get into a groove where I have all my items on a clothing rack, and all my accessories/shoes/equipment on a cart. I just roll 'em out, cover my bed or the floor with a white blanket, and get to photographing and measuring! I'll definitely give Snapseeda whirl, it sounds like it could make the process much easier, and I wouldn't have to run everything through PS Express... my poor little thumbs get tired after a while!

@annkdonnelly Haha it's definitely the most time consuming part of it all but it truly makes the biggest difference! Definitely give it a try, once you become familiar with the app - it is very easy. It has a lot of features but really you only need a few to get that look. In regards to your other comment, lol it happens to the best of us! But re-doing cover shots is what helps an item sell sometimes - a new revived look! I'm going to add you to a list I have :)

The best advice I can give is to share closets you love as often as you can and return posh love to other users too. Attending posh parties is also great, sharing host picks and engaging is the best thing to get your closet noticed. Always stay positive and put lots of love into your listings/posh packages.
