This stunning one of a kind artwork was a labor of love, made by an indigenous Oaxacan woman in Carrizalillo, Oaxaca, Mexico. She creates a cotton armature and then weaves the beads around the form. This piece took her a month to complete, along with the earrings and weavings that are her bread and butter. Gorgeous sculpture. Let me know what you think of my Oaxacan selections as I’m experimenting with buying from artisans and reselling as we live here art time with our Oaxaqueño familia. ❤️
