ginasgems4you Yes, see you can only share once to a party as it states, what the second sentence means is, you can click share to your "followers" multiple times and that would go into the "feed" section not the party section. This avoids a lot if confusion to buyers seeing the same multiple listings over and over again. So if your sharing other closets during party time click to followers not to party. Most sellers have specific ways they want to advertise their listings at a party. So it's best to share to your followers not to the party. The seller it's self will share their own things when wanted. Do you know what I mean??? 😉😉

elisehunter Breanna, I'm going to email Marissa about this. She means by sharing to the party, it shows up in your followers feed, not the party. A lot of Poshers have strategies for when they share to parties...I've heard of a lot of ppl being blocked for sharing a persons closet, during a party, regardless of whether or not they shared to the party. So, we are trying to spread the word. @ginap7777

msl5 @elisehunter What is the best strategy to share at a party? Before, during, 1/2 hour after it starts or what? If it is a tops party, and at 9 am you share all of your tops, they are at the top of your list. Then, if you share the rest of your closet, the tops are at the bottom. thanks for your help.

elisehunter @msl5 hi there. Here's what I do. I share my entire closet to keep it in the order I like. I plan it so if there's a party, I'm sharing those items (only) to the party at the very end of the party(they'll be closer to the top of the party listings. So just share the other things to your followers and the party appropriate listings to the party. Make sense? :)

msl5 @elisehunter I am doing the exact wrong thing then!! I am a seller, not buyer and I don't know buyer habits. I thought you should share when the party starts so more people will see your things. By 11, isn't it over? I was told ENL was the best way to list. From your phone, edit next list. YOu get into the top of the feed that way, on your computer it goes to your followers only. I need to take a class!!

elisehunter @msl5 well, for me, I'm catering to the people that aren't at the party. I'm not sure but I think there are more people that look at the parties later. Ok, to further mess with you: when you ENL it goes to everybody's feed, not just your followers. When you edit a listing it's like creating a new listing.

elisehunter @msl5 All is not lost if you share to the parties early...the search function works well so if someone is looking for a particular brand, they'll find your listing anyways. BUT, I'm pretty sure the latest items will show up first in the search.

elisehunter @apg605 so I have tested this...ad naseum. 🙂. They do show up in the party. BUT, if someone else has shared it already, you’ll have to look deeper into the party. Try this....share a few things and look for all of them. You can also do a search for a listing within parties. I’d suggest after the party is over. Make note of the time of your share.

elisehunter @livingforsanity each listing can only be shared once per party. So if you share it, it’s done. If someone shares it for you, your share of the listing will go to the regular feed. This can be an issue if you like to share later in the party and someone shares it early. It used to be a HUGE issue. Not so much anymore because there’s a great search feature.

I can tell you positively my items haven't been shared, because I had a Chaps top I shared to a party, couldn't find it in the feed, so searched by brand to make sure it was there. Got a message saying that there are no items of that brand shared. 🙁 So Idk why it wasn't shared. I can't find ANY of the items I shared to this party, and I shared several things.

Also when I share I got to “look for an item” for ex i share a velvet dress then i go look for it on search and nothing comes up. It’s been like this for a while now. petitcoeur @dreamskape TOTALLY! I have been wondering the same thing. I have noticed that sometimes when I'm shopping and I filter for a very specific size/color/brand that gets a small set of results, that the listings just repeat if I scroll past the "last" listing. My best guess is that they do this as a way to incorporate freshly made posts into the search and refresh the results as you scroll? I'm completely guessing tho. @pm_editor can you chime in on this question?

dreamskape Well I just tried a little test and now am still not understanding this. The current party is "Shoes" so I shared my shoes to the part and within a minute or so I received a share... However, when I went to the party and did a very specific search by brand, price, size, and NWT the item that was just shared did not even come up show up in the part. (part 1)

buymybuys Are party items being screened by someone to ensure fit with the party theme? Party descriptions are very vague. The title might be “ Fashion Forward Work Style” and nothing describes what is meant by fashion forward and all brands accepted. I would imagine everyone shares all their closet. So how is the party really representing the topic? I thought at one time that the job of the Poshmark party hosts was screening but now I think not.

cffein_n_cshmre I just noticed this happening to me too. I even deleted and re-added my item to see if that fixed the problem but I still can't find it in the search results of the party. It definitely fits within the party theme and there are other similar items that do show up. So frustrating.

sarah83826 @elisehunter that isnt necessarily true. I've tried searching my items in a party that I've shared. I used the filter and searched by brand and nothing came up. I messaged poshmark and all they said was "we can assure you your item is being shared" but never explained why I couldnt find it when I searched brand. And I'm very detailed when I list an item. I fill everything all the categories out.

cffein_n_cshmre @sarah83826 mine actually started showing up. Or I guess they always were. I realized that I had filters on automatically. The size filters stay active until you change them. So the items I was looking for weren't "my size" so they weren't showing up. If I remove the size parameter, I can see all my items. I hope this helps but if not they definitely need to fix the glitch.

sarah83826 What I've learned is you can only share once to a party. Other ppl can share your items to parties even if you have already shared them to a party, bc it is a different user sharing that item to a party. That is why you are given the option when you go to share someones item to share to followers or share to the specific party going on at that time.

sarah83826 You can edit and resist your item as many times as you want. When you do that, it brings your item to the top of the list under that brand category. So if a buyer searches a certain brand, everything for that brand will come up. If you edit your listing that is that brand, it will go up to the top of the page again. So it's always smart to refresh listings by editing them and relisting them once in awhile to keep them at the top of the brand page.

Even if they have already shared that item to the party, I'm a different user and I'm able to share that item for them to that party to help get more exposure. So I think we should all keep that in mind when sharing stuff for other poshers. Help eachother out more by sharing not just to followers but to parties as well. You know the saying, what goes around comes around. 😀

sarah83826 @lizzie_fashion ya the filter in the party says 3/9.. so I'm assuming 3 of the 9 filters are set to something but when I check they are all set to all sizes brands colors types. So I dont know what the 3/9 means.

So you’ve searched ever possible way, by brand, username, etc and you’re positive 100% positive that your listing isn’t there? If that’s the case, I’d suggest having someone else do the search for you. If that fails, contact support again and tell them everything you’ve tried. Posh has only gotten better and more refined. If you want, I’ll be happy to do the secondary search for you ✌️

sarah83826 @elisehunter in a party I go to filter and go to brand and type in the brand and it will say "no listings found". So that means other sellers who have that brand listed, I'm not able to pull their listing up by brand in that party. Maybe when they listed their item they didnt fill all the criteria out and that might be causing their listings to not show up. But all my items are completely filled out in the categories.

There are def some things I've noticed on posh that I think could be updated or changed. Like ppl who havent been on their accr in 6 months, the acct should automatically be frozen and shown that it is frozen to buyers.

Or if you buy something and then you have to wait 7 days to find out it was canceled on it's own bc the seller never shipped it bc they are no longer active on their page. I think that is something that should def be updated and dealt with.

It might take some time but Posh is a really great platform and are always trying to (and often do) jump over the competition. callmemamagigi @sarah123 I’m also being told my dresses and skirts can’t be added to the current party - says it’s because they don’t fit the guidelines. I check the guidelines and the only restriction is in the size option - it says NO sizes. I don’t understand? When I try to look at items in this party, I get a “no listings” message. botablu @breanna5568 I had no idea, because as others have stated, there’s no “rules” clarified but I figured out due to plummeting sales and the lack of others sharing my items that something was going on. I reached out to posh weeks ago, finally got confirmation that I somehow “triggered” some mysterious mechanism that they won’t clarify—and the only response I can get is it “should stop in another 72-hours”. Well another weekend of not being able to share and almost no sales 😔

elisehunter @dccblue Im really not sure what is going on if this is an issue and they aren’t responding via email. I suspect they’re having growth problems. If this was happening to me, I’d blast it on Facebook, insta, tumblr, etc. I’d be careful to be unemotional and factual (dates, # of reach outs, #s of potential lost sales (based on ave weekly sales). elisehunter @dccblue gurrllll. Blast it all over the place. It’s not right. Usually with those automated systems, if you write multiple times, you’ll get kicked up to a human. So, they’re having loads of other issues, I suspect, just the tip of the iceberg. I do still believe in Posh, not jaded or anything, but this needs some attention!

And tag Marc on the post, that will make the people who actually deal with this stuff sit up a little. Love the guy to have created this but imo, he’s now a puppet. lisachristine3 Okay, question! Why when I share my listings at the beginning of a party and then keep sharing them (I thought you could keep sharing) I get so many shares/likes/follows? But when I stop constantly sharing my listings to the party (regardless of the one time rule) I get less shares? This makes no sense to me! Help haha

lisachristine3 I feel like this one time share rule does not make sense if I keep sharing and sharing the same listings to the party with a lot more shares/likes coming through then my listings are technically being hared more than once? I've tested this because I went into the makeup party after it was done and my listings were there like 5 times in a row!

adamillmatic05 @sarah83826 its also good to share peoples items in a party because they are more likely to be active/ on line at that moment. so i go to mens fashion party , first look showroom and share 20 or 30 listings to my followers. most of those people will return the share, and if most of them are using posh at that moment, i can expect a flood or 'return shares in the next 5 seconds to five minutes.

adamillmatic05 @sarah83826 . i like to the switch to my own closet and begin rotating thr items at the top, so that the 20 or 30 people returning my shares will share a higher variety of listings fromy closet to their followers, instead if them l sharing something from the top 3-5 rows. i think this really os helping my exposure. im trying to search if others were using a method similar to this, i ended up on this convo where it is pretty relevant and effective advice. i

adamillmatic05 @sarah83826 only have 11000 followers but ive only been on a year and only really active for 7 months. ive been averaging if not a sale a day at least an item a day sold for the past 40 or 50 days. i think this kind of "return share sprinkler" or "propulsion" strategy is really really helping but it does require me to be on the app for a good hour or two a day aside from listing and communicating with customers

adamillmatic05 @sarah83826 i think the whole not seeing your own listing could be part of the sharing algorithm. because i too have both seen and not seen my own items. the size filter is very important like you guys mentioned. but technically there is no reason for me.to see my own listings. as long as other poshers see them its ok. and i know they are seeing them because i am getting those re shares. but i think the best feature of he party is specifically that the people whose

adamillmatic05 @sarah83826 listings you share are likely to be active, and that there are probably plenty if buyers browsing the items too even though they aren't part of my re share strategy. i am not as concerned as getting my item into the party im more concerned with getting those users with 100k, 500k , 2.5 million follwers to share my stuff that is the biggest key to making sales is for your listings to hit the feeds and searches of as.many poshers and potential buyers as possible

adamillmatic05 @botablu i cam share my listings constantly all day and wont come close.to the exposure as 30 sellers in a party with 50k or.more followers on average each sharing just one of my listings. but if you aren't using my rotating method during the impending"return share wave" then you'll have or 6 different items hit the feeds of literally millions of poshers. but im having 30 or 40 of my listings spread out to millions of feeds. i truly think it is helping immensely

j_rusticbeauty Hello all, For some reason, I can not share to a poshparty. The item I try and share fits the criteria perfectly. But when I click share to party it says sharing but it never shows, "Successfully Shared". Does anyone know why?
