Jacket - Jean/Denim - Upcycled - Reworked New & Vintage Western & Rodeo Fabrics

Riding, roping and rodeo! I have up-cycled, reimagined and recreated this lightweight jacket by Carrie Allen. Jacket was purchased with frayed panels either autumn leaves. I took new and vintage fabrics and cut and sewed on “patches” to cover the outdated jacket. (See last photo) Jacket collar, sleeves and hem all have frayed edges. Buttons appear to be wood. No rips, tears or stains. Backside of jacket features a single scene from new western fabric that was cut in the shape of a heart. Under the scene heart, is a different shade of denim that I used as a “border”. Both heart shapes were left “rough”, as to add to the fraying. Blanket stitching in an olive green attaches the two pieces to the jacket. Garment has been washed in hot water and dried in dryer. This item has had Fray Check applied to edges of embellishments to help prevent unwanted fraying. All embellishments are sewn on, not glued. Laundering should be cool, gentle cycle or hand wash and hung dry. No iron on embellishments. Measurements were taken flat and are appropriate. Pit seam to pit seam, across chest ~ 23” Sleeve length, from top shoulder seam to cuff ~ 21” Overall length, from top shoulder seam to hem ~ 24 1/2”. Comes from non smoking household.
