Vintage 1940's Lancaster Ltd English Ware Sugar Bowl Hanley England. Has a creamy white glaze with slight The creamy white glaze has very slight crazing and the gold trim around the rim has some fading. Features a scene of a little shop with a green roof. The sign says "The Posy Shop". The maker's mark has an "A" at the top, signifying it was made during World War 2 when the “concentration” of the industry was a restructuring to allow people to leave the pottery trade to work in the British armed forces or industries in demand for the war effort. Vintage condition with expected aging and wear. Stands approximately 2 3/8" off the table, with a 2.5" opening. Please see the photos for the condition. Happy to provide additional photos.
