this piece is so rare and it is in very good vintage condition there are some issues to note mainly the bottom button was removed and the buttonhole stitched closed so that the original belt would lay flat against the wearer's waist, the original belt is in average condition. You could easily replace the belt with a black belt which would look really cute as well. There are some places where there are holes where the darts came unstitched, however I have mended these. The details of this dress are incredible: there are black heart but buttons and a snap and hook an eye at the waist it is a dress you step into or put over your head there is generous place at the front which has a fold in the fabric to disguise where you step into the jumper this has side pockets deep generous side pockets at each hip so wonderful the Ric-rac trim is around the armholes, neck and along the hem. This is a heavy substantial quilted fabric, you would have worn this at an Autumn or winter festival, think back in the days when there wasn't a lot of reliable heating and you would stay warm with this dress. The original belt and the original crochet chain belt loops to keep it in place although a black belt would be cute. This is a quilted fabric which was very popular in the 60s.
