Limited Edition Carolee Shell Sterling Silver Asian Design Multi Strand Necklace Carolee Friedman started Carolee in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1972, creating affordable jewelry for the modern woman. Brooks Brothers Group acquired the company in 2001. Its jewelry division, Deconic, created in 2017, now manages Carolee as well as other jewelry brands, like Alexis Bittar. Carolee jewelry is sold in major department stores such as Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s. This gorgeous limited edition necklace has new elements that I haven't seen before in this brand. Tree strand beaded torsade necklace is made of slightly curved pearlescent shell beads strung on leather cords, square tile beads with flowers on one side and Chinese characters on the opposite side. Unique sterling silver end caps and lobster clasp add another dimension to this necklace. Necklace is about 17" with 1.5" extension chain. It's a very rare piece, I only come across another one back in 2017.
