greeneyes2die4 Ahhh!!! I wish I could afford this. I was born in 1958 and I take Hebrew. Do you know what the coin says in Hebrew? I would love to give this to my Hebrew teacher. She's from Isreal. But there's no way I can afford this. It's a beautiful piece. Hopefully you'll sell it and the person that buys it will really enjoy it.

cherryoa @greeneyes2die4 Hello, thank you for your kind words. I am sorry I don't know what it says.

greeneyes2die4 @cherryoa That's ok, I thought you might know what it says...I could figure it out very slowly but didn't want to take that much time to pick out the letters without the vowel points. I'm just learning how to read without the vowel points so it takes me longer to read them. Oy Vey!!! you'd think I would be able to read Hebrew by now, I've only been taking Hebrew consistently for 5yrs. It's a hard language to learn and my brain is slow at learning God's beautiful language. 🤣🤔🤫

cherryoa @greeneyes2die4 According to Google: In the upper left corner the word "Israel" in Hebrew and Arabic with the mint year "5718-1958". Below is the face value of "5 Israeli Lirot" in Hebrew.. Edge Around it appears the legend "10th Year of the State of Israel" facing the obverse or the reverse side. Comments The seven-branched Menorah, among the best known symbols of Judaism^ is also a well-known numismatic symbol in Jewish history. It was found on coins from the period of the rule of Mattathias

greeneyes2die4 @cherryoa Isn't Google wonderful? I was able to read Israel but needed more time at what it said by the 5. Thanks for letting me know what it says and meant. The 7 branch menorah has so many wonderful meanings especially in the Hebrew/Messianic movement.

greeneyes2die4 There is so much hidden treasures in each letter and each number that is attached to the letter, there is so much meaning between each letter and each number and then each word has a special meaning. Biblical Hebrew is fascinating. I absolutely love what I'm learning. It's the Father's language and someday I hope to go to the Holy land and speak Hebrew and see all the "REAL" spots that the Bible talks about.

greeneyes2die4 @cherryoa Me too...I know a few tour guides that would take us to the spots in the Bible that regular tours don't go on. The most of the areas where they take you have been taken over by the Catholic church and has become very commercialized. I was to see the area of the city of Godom and Gomorrah, the area where Moshe crossed. the area where Jericho walked and blew the Shofar, areas like that and of course where Yeshua walked and taught, where the 1st and 2nd temple were.
