My brother died in November from bipolar disorder so this means a lot to me. He meant everything to me and I'll spend the rest of my life yearning for him. 💕

@breezy300 I’m so sorry for your loss. My brother died Oct 01, 2013. It has not gotten easier. I do believe that the stigma stops people from talking about it and getting the help they need

@alicia_fashion I just realized I never responded to this. I'm very sorry for the loss of your brother as well. I know it's not going to get easier for me either. My brother and I were incredibly close and I looked out for him for as long as I can remember. He was a wonderfully gentle, funny and intelligent man, and he was open about the fact that he was bipolar. He did much to care for and protect his mental health, which makes the fact that he slipped through our fingers that much worse. I'm

sending the biggest hug to you. 💕💕💕

My mom was bipolar like her mother & many of my family members on that side. On dad's side, there's depression & he ended his life at the age of 76. I too have suffered all my life. I have seen hospital staff & doctors mocking my mom & neglecting treatment. In my teens my dad & I pleaded with the court to order help for her. Since that time the stigma has decreased as more speak up but still a long way before it ends. My heart goes out to all who comment here. survivor ; my story isn't over 🙏💕
