My husband is in the coast guard 😊 he was stationed in Hawaii when I met him, moved to LA to be with me and now we're hoping to move back for his next tour. We're both from California though, born and raised!

Nice to meet ya! You have such a beautiful family. Ooh Kailua, I miss my Sundays there. Used to do exertennis at Kailua Racquet then brunch every weekend for years, Then pick up goodies from Kalapawai Market for home and browse at Muu Muu Heaven and Global Village or a dip in the ocean at Lanikai.

Yup, on Maui now. I grew up here but moved to Honolulu when I was twenty and stayed for 20 years. Moved back home a few years ago to be closer to my folks but I miss Oahu every day.

Not sure if those sound familiar but it's always exciting to see people from my neck of the woods (even though I moved to Vancouver Wa).

Oh cool so you are close to Seattle and Bellevueish. We moved to Vancouver a year and a half ago for my husband's work. I actually really like it here! It's certainly no Hawaii lmao. My husband gets to go to HI for work though, he's been twice and gets to go every 2 months. We got married in Maui, cliche but I didn't want a big wedding so it was just us 2. Lahaina (sp?)actually. I'd been to Oahu in 6th grade but mostly remember feeling like death when my parents make me climb...Diamond Head..is thay what it's called? Anyway yes it rains here a lot and it sucks haha

Definitely hot! It's so different when you walk outside to a hot breeze rather than a cold one here. But even in the summer in the 80s and 90s we all think we will die of heat stroke and it's nothing compares to HI!

@kmadeoy Hi!! Hawaii was available but the hubs didnt like the job, he would be stuck on a boat again patrolling the Pacific and he already put in his time for that. Instead we get to stay in California! He'll be stationed in Point Reyes and we're looking to move to Sonoma this summer :) Thanks for thinking of us! Seattle was an option as well, but we're looking to start a family in the near future and wanted to be as close as possible. We're pretty excited for the change. How was the move to the mainland??

My family lives in So Cal so we get down there a couple times a year. :) Exciting to be moving to Sonoma and maybe starting a family soon! Kids are a huge blessing!! My daughter's name happens Sonoma but she goes by Somy (she hates Sonoma, maybe when she gets older she'll emabrace it? - I hope :)) Our move back to Seattle area was good. We are actually in the process of buying a house here and will be moving in next month if all goes well. We are excited!

We went on a weekday (kids were on Spring Break :) ) so it wasn't too bad we were able to drive up and back during non rush hour times. It was so amazingly beautiful that day! @nineve Regarding the meet up, I got word of it through email, so check yours. :)
