@temas hi! Thank you for reaching out. I love shopping and selling on poshmark but i am more successful at buying than selling 🙄. My current inventory is based on items from my own closet that i thought could use a new home. You have a lot of items for sale, Where do you get your inventory?

@ali1209 hi. Good question. I was like you when I started out! I have sold many of my personal items at first than started going to outlets and buying sale items to sell! Than just a couple of months ago started thrifting! Which was new to me! I live in Texas and I guess we do have some good thrift stores around....

@ali1209 ....I go at least two times a week to the local thrift store! Some are consignment stores (which means you pay up), but I am picky at which brands and styles I get, and I did learn that the hard way! I hope this helps🤗❤️.... also I noticed a big increase in sales once I stared thrifting because I was able to accept most offers!

@temas thanks thats really good to know. Do you have more sales as bundles or single items? I feel like the shipping costs make it hard to sell lower priced items.

@ali1209 it depends. But lately I haven’t been making bundle sales that much. I do make more of my sales from offer to liker. So they only pay $4.99 for shipping.

Since you’re new here your should probably be aware that a $10 offer on an item that’s already low priced at $20 is a lowball offer. This app takes 20% in fees so it’s not worth it for knowledgeable sellers to sell for that. Clothing sellers can take their items to consignment, vintage and other clothing stores and sell it that way (especially those that are located in LA or NY) so there’s no point selling for that low. Reselling is a job and it’s a lot of work.

@ellalouisbillie I’m not new here and well aware of the fees. Sales are driven by supply and demand and an item is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Any item that is damaged with rips stains or otherwise is likely going to sell for next to nothing as there is no shortage of this inventory. I understand that this may not be a lucrative career for you but sending people passive aggressive comments is not going to boost your sales, that is what the decline button is for.
