I seriously had no clue what I was doing when I first started and relied heavily on reading the Poshmark Blog and other online blogs for tips and advice. @amg246 Hey lady! So funny you ask- I was just having a convo about this with @bluechandelier (I'll tag you in that post). I think everyone has a different approach for what works for them, but personally I don't organize by category for a few reasons (cont'd below):

@amg246 I like for people to quickly see a range of my items at once instead of scrolling to find something specific, I feel that putting newly listed and/or in season items near the top helps bring visibility and variety to my closet, and also if people want to see only a certain category from your closet they can change the filter. These are just my preferences from my experience. ☺️

Okay, great point! That makes sense, because right now most people aren't going to be looking for shorts or tanks - because it's cold. But if they are, they can always organize the closet by category.

Hi! Sending a PSA: since the latest PM app update, storage usage in phones has skyrocketed from posting/sharing listings (b/c of the new high-rez & 8-pic option). Mine went from a few hundred mb's to 2gigs! 1 of my PFFs says hers is 4g's! Check the storage PM is taking up on your phone & spread the word to email PM! 💜

All the tips I see to build a following recommend liking other closets and sharing. I see you have 99,000 followers and only like about 500 other closets. Clearly you have great style, photos, and inventory so I'm sure those are key but any advice is welcome 😀

To do this, I made sure to create quality listings (having eye-catching, well-lit cover photos, and accurate and thorough descriptions). [cont'd below]

@shantrooper Hi Shannon! Thanks so much for the compliment! I usually shoot my photos near a window around mid-morning to mid-afternoon for the best lighting. I also shoot in the same areas of my home to keep the lighting consistent. Using an app to adjust lighting is also helpful for when lighting situations are not ideal - my favorite editing apps are VSCO and Lightroom. I hope that helps and best of luck to you! @leprintingpaige Aww thank you so much- you are so sweet! I use an iPhone to take my photos too! I use editing apps like VSCO to adjust the brightness and color tones if needed, but my biggest advice is to shoot in natural light if possible. I always take my photos near a window in the morning to afternoon to get the best lighting. I've found using a light colored background helps brighten up photos too. I think the lighting in your photos looks great- what are you looking to improve?

Some things I buy, but never end up using so they also end up in my Posh closet :) I find that I am most successful with sales when I share my closet often, share to parties, and when I add new listings on a consistent basis.
