@vivacouture if I didn't tell you before, I would live in Yr closet, unfortunately my life also took a turn. I was diagnosed w/ cancer and my husband walked out. It's all I can do now to keep the bills paid. I've whipped the cancer, but has left me with side effects that keep me from working outside my home (at least for now). I've been blessed tho, as god gave me numerous talents to try and sustain myself. It's difficult to go from filet mignon to tube steaks(haha) weenies!!!

@queenb2u oh my !! I am so sorry to hear that but happy to hear your strength fighting the cancer ! I lost my uncle and my cousin last year to lung cancer . My mother in law who I never met also had cancer . I am happy you beat it and are in a better place. Do you have children ? I am sure you are a strong woman !!

@vivacouture Yes, I have two girls, and I have two granddaughters and two grandsons, and then I have a great granddaughter and a great grandson. I used to be the business administrator of a medical spa, so I'm big into how to stay young looking. Tehe! I can't afford Botox or fillers now, but I have my own micro derm machine and a galvanic machine and also an electron machine. The galvanic has been given the nickname Skin Iron.!!! I'll be posting some home machines soon. They work wonders! My email is bobigoadcruthirds@gmail.com , I think you can request another shipping label, I had another Posher that did that, I would assume you would go through the problem link. I've gotten quick response from them. Thnx for staying in touch and being on top of the order. It's not the fault of either of us in my opinion, just life's quirks.

I wasn't able to leave his side when it was time for me to go back to work and fast fast forward three years later and so glad I was there for his every milestone!! It goes by so quickly enjoy each moment ! Take your time I didn't start this until a couple months ago and he is now 3!! There is nothing like motherhood and their joy with new discoveries...and now I have alittle time to get back to my roots which is a love for fashion!! Welcome to Posh its really fun!

I got my email hacked the first week , then someone tried to offer me $3000 for my chanel bag I knew it was fishy but I was new to posh ( only here 3 Months now ) and I thought - ok the last place I need drama is online !!! But I ignored that and immediately met some really amazing women here shopping so I figured just focus on the positive .. Hopefully the negative will go away !! :))

I really think you will attract the buyers that will see and want your beautiful pieces if they are familiar with the brands that are designer. It took some time for me to sell some beautiful well priced designer items and I always use to say in my retail business "it only takes one customer" ! Best of lick with your lovely closet! @lkmilks I did everything under the sun in retail . I was a buyer , a regional manager, merchandising & visual trainer, sales trainer , fashion coordinator and I did consulting prior to becoming a Director of Stores for MAXMARA's contemporary division in the US. I opened new boutiques and set them up with top management and great selling team! May favorite part was buying and selling and my windows would always sell out! Lol sometimes would go against the "visual " guideline but the bottom line was what our clients wanted and I liked to deliver to out clients !! Ha ! I miss that world very much but would not trade it for the experience of being a full time mom the last 3 years ! It's been an amazing journey ! Oh and yes I did styling and dressed celebs and did that whole thing too!

Omg, I had no idea you were in the fashion industry. I've always been fascinated with fashion and I'm now in my mid 20's and ready to finally begin. I work as an office administrator which is so boring for me but I had to pay for my own schooling. However I'm so close to being done( I started late ). I follow the wonderful Manish and other ladies I met here. Once you follow me you can see who I follow and follow them as well. You can share listings with a link to your closet and of course use hash tags to promote your items. Right now they have a poshstyle promo where you can show off your posh finds and you can win $50 in credits. I will have to model the beautiful dresses I'm getting from you! I did everything under the sun but yes I was a buyer for multiple stores , I was a director of retail as well , I scouted locations for openings and opened flagship stores , hired and trained managers etc ! Merchandising , visuals years and years ago ! I also had my own tshirt and jewelry line and sold to Nordstroms , lord and Taylor , small boutiques ! I can't even list it all !! Ha ! Then I put it all aside for my angel !

@nugget_love MAX&Co the contemporary brand of MaxMara . I was a consultant for them for 3 months after I left Dolce&Gabbana and then they wanted me to stay on after I increased their business significantly and So I decided to stay as the Director of Retail opened stores travelled to italy and helped with product development , branding , etc and sadly after I left to go to Chloe .. They started closely one store after another ! It's still sad for me to see I put in so much time , energy and bam one day the stores just didn't preform with new management after I left . How about you ?

I still kept some of it for sentimental value but they were all handmade by me and i also had a few people hired here to help --not in china so the price points were higher and people paid for the labor and design . I did sell a couple I here just to get rid of them when I first started! I am launching my site soon for consulting part time ! Also working on a T-shirt project and maybe getting back into my crafty design ways when Evan is fully into preschool . The last year I have been focused on helping my family with one issue after another and so all my plans have been on hold . Besides Poshmark which is simple

No where near as impressive as you!! I was always field management. Please.....started forever ago with Merry Go Round inc. worked for them for like 7 years. Then Pacific Sunwear for a few years (through their expansion period. Ran their highest volume stores and did a TON if management recruiting/training), then Express for some years (6 stores in 5 years), then West Elm for a few years, then Juicy Couture for a few years (opened/ran the King of Prussia store and did a lot of training and store openings for them as well), then back to West Elm....then bye bye retail when I found out I was pregnant with twins.

Long story (and a really interesting one....you going to Vegas? I'll tell ya), but yes....I had my daughter at 26 weeks but he was only with us for 2 hours before she became an angel baby (we knew she wasn't going to make it), then they put an endoloop (sort of like a zip tie) around her placenta and I stayed pregnant for 2 more weeks and had my son Chris (Nugget) at 28 weeks. So I have her remains in a beautiful little heart urn in his bedroom with some pictures so we talk to her everyday.....and he looks out for us.

@vivacouture girl....no need for tears. I know I gave birth to an angel. Who can say that?? (Lol....and not many people can say they give birth two weeks apart either). I have learned that things happen for a reason. It was meant to be this way. I lost my Mom a year before I got pregnant and I know my daughter (Paulina) is with her. I do with that my Mom could have seen me become a mother though. But I know she does.....just not here with me.

Right now, I have to focus on listing, and hopefully, selling. I love dresses, and I have many that I have worn once, and sadly, some I never wore at all.
Do you think it is best to list many items as quickly as possible, or list items gradually so there aren't too many items at one time? Thanks for any advice.

@micheleedesigns hi Michelle I think it's great to have a variety of listings at different Price points, brands and styles. It definitely takes time I know but that way you can gain more followers. Also some important tips to take in mind are to not take Paypal , avoid trades and follow PM rules and regulations . That way you may have hosts pick from your closet for the evening themed parties also and that showcases your closet which may bring more traffic . Also because it is safer too. It's important to share as much as you can from other people's closet and share Back when they share your listings. Follow closets and they may follow you back to gain more followers ! You are very sweet and I will tag some great poshers who I met on here and they will share your listings to their followers too. Although it is time consuming sometimes it is fun also and can be addicting finding great items and meeting some genuinely great people ! @katjo is wonderful check her closet and look at her Poshmark tips listing ! @gordomom is so kind as well and she has some great tips in her closet too! I will tag others in your closet as soon as I get through my newsfeed !

Thanks for getting back. I know you must have lots of comments to respond to. I had mistakenly assumed that the feed randomly showed items from your closet to all your followers, regardless if the items were shared by yourself, anyone else, or not shared at all. I know that if you share my items, they are shared with your followers. I think that how the feed works, is that items must continually be shared, either by myself or others, to be seen at all. Is that accurate? One of the women that you lead me too, told me that I should share my closet several times a day. Don't know how I could find time to do that! Do you know if shared items go into the feed immediately, a single time, until shared again? Thanks for any clarification!

I thought i understood that the feed was dynamic, changing constantly as items are shared. Guess I got that wrong! When you have time, I'd appreciate any clarification. As far as sharing the best time is what works with your time but to try at least to share to the evening parties because there you can share everything and people go back to look at the parties and that may lead them to your closet. I try to update my listings at Least one time during the day. If the parties in the am and afternoon pertain I try to update and share to those as well again if I have the time ! As far as the feed not updating - go to your feed and push the refresh button on the upper right corner and that refreshes your feed ! There is alot to figure out I know !! Let me know if that helps and please do ask anything !!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions. I so appreciate your generosity! I've been working in FL all week, so had very little time to invest. I've been sharing from various closets, but only from my own occasionally, to change the order. So I understand now that I need to share my entire closet, with the parties that allow all brands, every day. I will start doing that tomorrow. I am enjoying seeing so many great items that are being offered, and some very beautifully styled closets. But i also see that to make this work, there is a substantial time investment. You are so supportive! With 41k followers, how am I so fortunate to have you paying this much attention to me? I'm having a hard time just keeping up with my own closet and news! I am returning shares and trying to share to the parties. I see that this could be an extra full time job! But it is surprisingly enjoyable too. Actually, it is the pair of 7 FMK jeans that will be my first purchase. Not sure about the sizing, but I think they should be good for me. The higher waist works best for me, so I think they will be perfect.

I recommend you go to Europe as it is so wonderful in so many ways! I spent most of my time in Italy in Milan, Via Reggio, Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Rome and I loved Tuscany !! I spent alittle time in France just enough to shop in Paris a a few rainy days that didn't stop me from running into the shops after work before they closed!! The fashion , the food and the conversations are so memorable !! Def go before you have kids lol !! Of course with kids I am sure it will be fun too ... But u always tell my best friend who is single to go to Europe and she isn't up for it alone.. Because I travelled alone or many years not only for work but for pleasure too! Sometimes its just not in the cards or easy to coordinate with others and life is too short!!

@vivacouture Yeah after three years I could totally understand getting the itch to go again! Milan looks incredibly beautiful from what I've seen and all the shopping is to die for! Ooooh yes, nothing could stop a true shopper haha not even the rain! Plus a Paris rainy day sounds like heaven to me <3 I would love to be trying all the food too, I'm quite a foodie I must say. I'd be in all the pastry shops and loving it haha! Oh I know! I want to go before I start that part of my life, it would be just amazing. Plus after I have kids I'd love to let them see and travel the world as well whenever we could! I love photography and would be totally picture crazy and scrap booking everything haha. Awwww :( I have the same problem! It's SO hard to get everyone's schedules switched around and willing to go, I wish it was easier! I always feel like I'm more willing than most people and others don't have the desire as much as I do to travel and see the world and other cultures, but it's really a big part of who I am. I just love exploring and I feel I have to so I'll be fully happy :) It's just one of those things not everyone understands I guess! It's just hard because you don't want to keep waiting and waiting, I have so many things I want to do and try while I'm in my 20's, I just want someone willing to come along with me for the ride :) You're a joy to talk with darling!

Hi Sherrie. I have no idea where I posted a question to you that fell through the cracks, so I am going to ask it here...
You had advised me to look to see if I might lower prices to create sales. I then asked you if it would be best to just lower the price on an individual item, or lower the price and note that on the item, e.g. "reduced price", or reduce prices with some sort of sale sign, as you did (although I still haven't figured out the sign thing). I would specifically like to sell my D&G jacket before cold weather. I have received messages or tags from women whose listings I liked with price reductions. I am reluctant to do that, because I don't really think that is appropriate. Am I correct on that? Let me know what you think, whenever you have a minute to get back. If you decide to reduce any prices I would post the original listed price somewhere in the description then write reduced or final markdown etc with the price so that the buyers know that is your sale price. You can even do a flash sale where you mark things down for a few days or a week . I think your Dolce coat is beautiful and I wish this site sold higher ticket items better. I notice with my higher ticket items they are sitting there even though they are competitively priced and priced to sell ! Have you tried a high end consignment shop for that piece ? The signs you can make with a application called versagram its really easy !! Let me know if that helps and if you have any more questions. Also update your listings as often as possible 2-3 times a day if possible Am , afternoon and PM . That way more people can have a chance to see your listings ( your followers ) ! I know its time consuming but the beginning is like that !!

As always, thank you for taking your time to respond. I finally figured out the sign thing. I tried to do it on my iPad, but when i searched, it didn't lead me to the right app. I put up a 25% off sign. I hope that gets something going. I know I've fallen short with sharing my own items. Trying to return others' shares first. I don't understand how everybody fits this all in! It's definitely like an additional job, time wise. And I'm still not getting to share my own items. @kc1101 hi Kristi I just checked and I personally don't think so. I had a Max studio top NWT at the same price as yours. It didn't sell though after awhile I took it down because I like to price things at a number I feel comfortable letting it go at . I know I will spend double or triple buying something else anyway so sometimes I end up keeping my items . Or I donate some items after a while haha -- so you have to feel comfortable with the number in my opinion and I don't think it's too high for a NWT top. Does that help ?

I swear, I am so huge on surrounding myself with memorable scenes, scents, foods, etc😍 I actually burn oils every evening to set the mood I'm feeling😍 I will buy something (usually something with a scent), from every place I travel, and then reminisce my travels at home ❤️ Sherrie, hard to believe, but my actual garden is inspired from a garden I walked through in Monterey 😊

You have done so much traveling too! My BFF and I had to go to San Fran for work and we decided to take 2 weeks while we were there, rent a yellow convertible Mustang and just drive everywhere😊 We went all up and down the coast, Pebble Beach, Muir Woods, Napa, gosh...we just went everywhere during that 2 weeks😊 It was a magical and memorable trip with just 2 girls and a car❤️

I have been singing songs to him since he was an infant and he sings them himself in the last year . He is 3 ! And loves singing Japanese songs ! I play alot of mediation music too and he likes the mantras I play !!

I was thinking of a Waldorf type school but that didn't work ..he is into everything to be honest ! He loves learning and talking about everything and fascinated with other languages ! We live in BH / westhollywood border ! I use to go to the OC when I was working -- and have friends there .

❤️❤️I actually really love Waldorf teaching/schooling, but not all of it. I have a few issues with certain minor things 😊 so glad you have him in a play based! A Reggio school would be wonderful too-their philosophies are incredible, they are emergent, creative and explorative, and very "whole child" which is the way I teach.

Yes I frequented Reggio Emilia and I the intelligence and emotional maturity of young adults in their early twenty's was amazing . I did read about evergreen and it was one of my favorites but it was in Santa Monica a bit of drive going west but more importantly a long wait list too . Play mountain is a peaceful parenting approach as well with humanistic learning geared around developing individuals on emotional strength , the whole being and learning conflict resolution in a peaceful manner therefore allowing the children to fully express their emotions and thoughts not suppress it !

Montessori is a constructivist method/platform. And IMHO not a good way for anyone to learn. Many of the schools have popped up recently because its "trendy". If people really knew what was going on I bet they wouldnt be so eager. Its not harmful but its not realistic or geared towards real world life and learning. Im glad you found such a killer school for your little guy! Thats how I teach-social skills and awareness in self/selflessness empathy and compassion are my main focuses xx

Happy New Year young lady!!! We have shopped the year almost gone. I have worn some of my things almost out and I have to give the "Best for everything" Award to my long black knee length vest, with those wonderful pockets!!! I have some things running close but it's my grab every time once our weather turned cool. Do you still have those, either color? I don't want this one to wear out...lol
