It is sized to fit prima/demi shells covers but it's big enough to hold classic and petite shells as well. There are a handful of minute light specks on the back side of the organizer. They are superficial and don't affect the utility of the organizer in any way. In fact, unless you were about 6 inches from them, I'm not sure you could even see them.
