@maryjaneb26 Well, I'm not sure if the discoloration will happen, but they are Reusable Glass Jars. I would hope that they wouldn't fade in color, but I honestly don't know with time. I gave my daughter a set, and she uses them frequently and still look good. It's a very cute set.
