Mother of pearl birds Japan jewelry Music box vtg Lacquer brass fish latch

Mechanically the box works well and securely but the latch on the top appears to be missing. A really nice brass gold carved fish latch. Looks like somebody overwound it as most people do not treat music boxes carefully enough. It still works but must be treated with TLC. I don’t know what song it is. The hinges are in great condition. Unusually beautiful mother of pearl birds. The mirror is in great condition. Black Lacquer. I’m still in the process of cleaning it up. Storage unit find. About 8 inches wide. Not much room inside to store a lot of jewelry. The fish, the birds, the music are the best part
