I’m going to go a step further & day it’s rare that I have a receipt from anything I bought 5+ years ago! Asking for that is insanity. I mean, I’ll pay for an outside party to authenticate for someone’s peace of mind, no problem, come on. I don’t have the space for boxes of everything I’ve ever purchased! I’m sorry, but I believe Poshmark’s commercials are misleading (at best...)

@fccandles definitely. Also with the scammers. It’s getting so dangerous and crazy. I had someone buy something from me, use it, claimed that it was damaged, was granted a return and returned it smelling like smoke from a club. Be careful and take care!!! All the best!

@fccandles I just had a dispute with a customer that purchased a GREAT dress from me at a crazy discount, but reported my item because I didn't send the box. I told her to PLEEEEZE return it. I will gladly resell it for my full asking price. I also told her I will film myself OPENING the package that she returns. Welp! She kept the dress and closed the dispute.

@fccandles Anyway, Poshmark offers FREE authentication on any item over a selling price of $500. It says it right there at the bottom of every listing. People need to stop asking if it’s authentic when it’s going to be authenticated by Poshmark for them anyway. Uhh 🙄.

@mika26 hello and welcome 😁 people often film their higher end items to protect themselves. Unfortunately there are some unscrupulous buyers. People have on occasion opened a case claiming something is wrong with an item when in fact they themselves damaged it. Filming is for just those cases ..☹️

@mika26 yes.. film BEFORE you ship. YoU/They always have the option to not accept ( 3 days) from the time it’s delivered. If not as described you /they open a case. People have had ‘buyers remorse ‘ then damage the item in order to return. For instance.. you CANNOT return an item due to fit, so they will make something up 🤨🥴

I love this so much. One girl told me my Chanel earrings should be less because I don’t have a receipt. They were worn once and didn’t think I was going to sell. I don’t have room for boxes and Don’t keep receipts over 30 days. (I won’t send my receipt anyway! It’s crazy! This is a RESELL platform lol

I actually got a few of my Chanel items authenticated (even though they will go through posh and I know they are REAL) It’s annoying. The scammers are out of control. I see people selling fake DY with new accounts but we get harassed for boxes and receipts when you can clearly see our love notes and long standing history🤦🏻♀️

This is great! I may borrow it to some degree. I’m so tired of the few people who expect a receipt/tags/box/dust bags & when I don’t, act like it’s a deal breaker! In most cases, I do have all or all but the receipt (like I keep a receipt from 10-20 yrs ago). I video too after a situation.

People are making fake receipts anymore. To ask for a receipt on a platform that is designed for second hand goods is ridiculous 😳

@carlyb5584 thetes just so many ways to determine AND protect yourself. 1st and for most ... buy from a reputable seller. Read the ‘love notes’ as well go through the ‘sold’ listings👍🏻 and if it’s too good to be true 🤔.. you can ALAWYS have an outside authenticator authenticate an item before you purchase ( a well spent dollar) if it’s under $500 and even then as posh has been known to make mistakes😳

@fccandles I've been reading through the comments and can relate, peoples expectations are out of control, they want the most but want to pay as little as possible. I sold an $800 NWT dress at a steal, way over 50%, and the buyer complained and gave a lower rating because there were wrinkles from packing, the dress was huge, a super maxi, and silk, I had no choice but to fold it to fit it the largest box. 🙄 at least she didn't damage it and get a refund.

poshmark resolved a case from a buyer before I even had a chance to respond, prob a day 1/2, they got a refund. It was the quickest I'd seen posh respond. But on the flipside when poshmark charged me full price on a bundle I purchased instead of the lower offer and shipping I accepted from the seller, it took them nearly 2 weeks to respond to me and I had to send them 2 diff msgs with pics before they did. thanks for letting me vent 😄💕😉

Now this is gold! But I won’t send receipts even if i have them period… reason why? All my high end items i pay cash because if i do return I don’t want to wait 7 business days to see my money I want it now! Therefore I won’t send receipts because you’re not about to pay a cute few hundreds for something i paid thousands just to go back to any of their store to return them to get cash back or get something else.
