One of a Kind Sample Vintage 90s Vivienne Tam MicroMesh Beaded Maxi & Slip Dress

If you know you know!! Absolutely stunning, iconic Vivienne Tam 90s Collection set with red slip dress and micro mesh beaded overlay dress. Provenance: I believe this is a one of a kind dress for a few reasons- the shorter version was part of the Fall 1998 runway collection in both red and black. I have scoured the internet and FIT archives and this maxi version only appears on supermodel Ling Tan (a muse of Vivienne Tam’s and model of hers for over a decade) in the October edition of High Fashion Magazine. There has never been one for sale or sold on this or any other selling platform I could find. Vivienne Tam often gifted samples or one-offs to her muses and considering this one was chosen for Ling to wear in the editorial spread, I think it makes sense that that could be the case here as well. A piece of fashion history!! Sizing: 90s and Y2K Vivienne Tam sizing for size 1 is a small or 6. Each piece has great stretch and would fit a range of sizes based on desired fit. Measurements taken flat, second number is measurement with stretch: Bust 16-21” Waist 14-17.5” Length shoulder to hem 63” (slip dress is shorter and has adjustable straps, can measure upon request) Condition: overall great vintage condition, two spots with missing beads, one loose thread at hem, stain on slip dress, very very faint white discoloration on outer layer- all flaws photographed in listing- please review carefully and ask questions if you have them since condition is subjective.
