Some do a little more, some a little less. @katjo 😘 hosted a party in June where she shared nothing from her own closet - only items from closets that had never received a host pick before. It was a fabulous party and made a lot of gals very happy! I think it's still in the party archives here - 6/14.🎉💗🎉

The Host Pick section of the evening party is an excellent place to get in FAST SHARING and receive sharebacks from both established Poshers and new Poshers in return. Case in point - the party from this past Monday evening (Daytime to Date Night hosted by @cindyciara @manymurrays @ilovenyc @ansook @rebekah_allen). These ladies shared phenomenally - over 2100 picks!!! and a lot of those picks were from new closets. Because the HP section doesn't require you to access each individual listing, you can share faster on your iphone - and lightning fast on your ipad or computer browser. What also helps is that these are listings that have been hand-selected for you - from closets that observe the PM rules - and the merch is fabulous! Host Pick closets are also more likely to be active on the app and logged on more often, so your newsfeed should show increased return love in a shorter period of time. As you are aware (and to assist anyone else who reads this), when you share an item, the seller gets that first notification of your share. If you share the same item again, there is no further notification, but it is still sharing to your followers. Try this tip if you have 10 minutes to devote to it - you can share a LOT of HPs in 10 minutes! - and let me know if you receive a newsfeed boost in return. I find that successful Poshers are in the feed constantly - sharing their closet, sharing someone else's closet (because credit is given to the sharer), or being shared by others (and as many "others" as possible). Host Pick sharing encourages the last two ways to get into that feed.

queenmumm @lisadraper You DO have a fab closet, missy!!! My suggestion is to switch up your listing order and put "theme" appropriate items at the top so a party host can curate more easily. Hosts scan hundreds of closets looking for the best theme picks, and most will not scroll past the first 10-15 items in a closet if they aren't seeing their theme. Your closet is beautifully organized, but I'm gonna throw some upheaval your way and suggest you "unorganize" a bit... Move your best theme items to the top (shoes, jewelry, clothing, etc. TOGETHER!) And feel free to tag a host (well in advance) with an item you think should be highlighted. A simple "could you please consider this gorgeous ____ for your party?" will suffice. Also, find the host's post about the party - follow, like, share and comment, then share some of her closet items in advance - all should gain you notice. And if you are following all guidelines, you will be highly considered. Good luck!

I don't have pp and I know it's against posh policy but then poshers tell me that they're interested in a less expensive item in my closet but they won't buy it due to shipping costs. Do you think it's pointless to even list lower priced items like those under $10?

queenmumm @leathecl Hey, sweetie! Paypal is indeed against Posh rules, but there are many out there trying to force sellers into it, which can result in both closets being closed down if the seller accepts. To guard from being approached by such a buyer, post "NO PAYPAL" at the top of your closet and incorporate the same message into your listings. This should cut down on the attempts. Most sellers will state "price firm" in certain listings to avoid haggling over price. Discounts can be applied to help with your sales, but don't undercut yourself to the point of discomfort. Items less than $25 incur the higher shipping fee (and yes, buyers will use that as a negotiating tool), but it should not be a point of contention for you to sell your item at what you deem to be a reasonable price (no matter the shipping cost). And be aware that for your buyer, a $23 item w/$6.99 shipping is the SAME as a $25 item w/$4.99 shipping (tax not included). For you, it's better to make 80% from $25. Negotiate a deal that is both a win for your buyer AND for you! Good luck! :)

andinella @queenmumm Forgive me if u have addressed this question elsewhere, I haven't made it through all your tips and follow up comments yet (but they are super helpful) - when u get invited to the daily parties, does RSVP'ing benefit in some way? I am relatively new and try to RSVP to nearly all, whether it's yes or no, thinking it somehow shows I am an active Posher. Am I wasting time that would be better spent sharing?

queenmumm @andinella Antonella - what a beautiful name! - you have posed a great question! RSVPing to the parties does show that you are active. However, I further suggest that you announce your intentions via Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr. I always continue my RSVP to Twitter (the RSVP confirmed screen will show you) as it will then auto tag to Poshmark - a good way of showing you are active on the app. Think of social media as an opportunity for self-promotion when you aren't on the app sharing other closets as well as your own. The more your username pops up for other Poshers on social media, the faster it is retained. Grab an IG (Instagram) account while you are at it and Posh Style something you've purchased on the app - wear it and click a photo! Then, follow the Poshmark IG account and hashtag your photo #poshstyle. This is yet another way to get noticed. Lastly, FOLLOW the Poshmark blog! It's on Tumblr and can be accessed on the website. On Mondays, they announce the upcoming party themes as well as all of the hosts for the week. This is your headstart to get noticed for an HP (Host Pick). Go into the host closets, follow, share and find their party listing (usually at the top of the closet). Comment and engage with these hosts, then set up your own closet with fabulous items at the top to make them easier to find. Don't be scared to tag (just once will do!) if you have a great listing that fits theme. Make sure you are following ALL Poshmark rules - no paypal, ONLY women's fashion, etc. Hosts are instructed to Host Pick ONLY from closets that follow the rules. AND ALWAYS be improving your covershots! Hosts love clear, detailed, well-lit items. Color is a definite plus. Don't be afraid to style an item with accessories and don't be afraid to model! Make sure you are always following Posh rules and getting your share on as MUCH as possible. If you aren't hooked into Posh via other social media (twitter, IG and facebook), join up and get your name recognition going with them. That can help quite a bit. queenmumm @playcat3 I worked my tail end off in the first few months for followers and my best system was this - it's a bit involved, so bear with me and click into the app to follow my instructions..... First, pick one of your clothing items and click on the list of those who like that item. These are gals who like your style and your size. Chances are, most will have a closet with clothing items that are liked by others. Go into one of those closets (the gal that likes you) and find HER clothing items, then click on the like list and FOLLOW THOSE users. Your follow has now provided the impetus for those mystery gals to click on your closet - you've just drawn attention to yourself. Your chance of being a stylemate to these gals is greatly improved because there is a common denominator (the gal in the middle who likes your items). I gained so many followers doing this because I knew that they were following me for my items, which in turn can increase your chances of making a sale. Good luck! :)

queenmumm @micheleedesigns this is the easiest fastest way to hit numerous closets. Just go back to the party archives and try to share 1-2 parties a night (via Host Picks OR "First Look" if you want to hit primarily new closets"). iphone is slow for this - use ipad or your browser. Afterwards, channel through just the comments in the feed as almost all the immediate shares will be rebounds from what you've just done. Hope this helps!

queenmumm @beatriz990 Welcome to the selling side of Posh! Congrats! This tip refers to an easy way to get your newsfeed hopping with shares, followers, maybe even a sale! Just click "parties" at the bottom left of your main screen and go to a completed evening party from yesterday or even weeks back. Click on the host picks section and then go on a share frenzy. These are items that have been selected as being the best for the theme and the closets are active. There will be anywhere from 100-800 host picks. If you are on an iPad or computer browser, you can click the share icon under each listing and share fast without clicking into each listing. Just take a good 20-30 minutes to share as many as you can. You will then see a corresponding boost in your newsfeed of share backs, etc. It brings traffic to you! Lmk if you have any questions. queenmumm @beatriz990 sorry but you can't sell the phone here - no electronics. Those that are selling non-posh items run the risk of having their closets shut down. You need to stay in the category of women's fashion only (no men's or children's). Ladies clothing, accessories, shoes, handbags, jewelry are all acceptable. You can sell the decorative iPhone/iPad covers but not the phone itself. You can also sell makeup but only if it is sealed, unused and new with tags. The same for swimsuits, bras, panties and hosiery - new with tags only. Go to the FAQ section to see the full list.

queenmumm @beatriz990 it's up to you who you would like to share and which items. Generally, Poshers won't share Paypal closets because it is against the rules. Trading IS allowed but it is not supported by Poshmark so those Poshers assume the risk. I do share trading closets. Don't share items that aren't allowed such as what I previously listed. Also steer clear of selling or fake designer or "inspired" designer items. That's not just a Poshmark infraction - that's breaking the law. If you can't guarantee authenticity or you aren't sure, don't list it.

queenmumm @read247 Excellent question, Helen! I always click to share to the party if the item fits the theme. This puts it into the master feed that can be seen by every registered user on the app. An item can only be shared once into that party - all following shares, whether by you or 10 other people, will show in your followers' feeds only. This is why I tell everyone to share their closets during the party times. It gives the greatest exposure. 😊😊😊

queenmumm @read247 A few reasons can lead to this thinking. Some want to share only to their followers if the item doesn't fit party theme. An automatic pass on party sharing means not having to "think" it through on each item. Or, the Posher may be of the assumption that if it has already been party-shared that another party share will be "wasted". Not true. If the item has been shared once to the party, it will still share in the follower feed regardless of which option is clicked.

onceuponathyme I have another for you, Brenda. Don't put all of one thing at the top of your closet. When someone clicks on your item, the first 7 things in your closet are "advertised" to the side of the main item page. If all 7 of those are shoes, or dresses, or formals, or jewelry your "closet overview" is limited in appeal. So make your top 7 picks an actual overview of your closet - one of each - whether it's your newest listing in each category or a "Daily Picks" or "My HP's" or "Bargains of the Day" etc . . . Hey! I should start a blog! ;-) Nahhhhh... someone else already did that! :-*

queenmumm @missmeek77 Hey Tameka! I just snuck a peek in your closet - cute items! - and I'm not seeing anything that would keep other Poshers from sharing it.. Are you sharing your closet 3 times each day - especially during the parties? You also might want to improve your covershots to sharpen the detail and bring out the colors. Photograph dark items on light backgrounds and vice versa and stay away from any filter that yellows or fades the shot. Try to wear the items if you can and take the pics outside in natural light for best representation. Give us at least 3 angles and provide clothing measurements in the description (bust, waist, inseam, etc.). Try styling your clothing with a handbag (even if you don't intend to sell it) or a pair of shoes. A buyer is more willing to take a closer look if she can picture it on herself. For smaller items you should be so close and focused with the pic that we feel like we're holding it in our hands. I have other tips in my closet. Also try clicking on my blog at the top of my closet, where I've written a few articles that may help. Please feel free to ask questions if something is unclear. Also,I read on your blog that posh sellers can recognize "fakes". I know how to recognize and check on Coach bags but I don't know how to on other brands. Any tips? Thanks for your time!

tezza630 ✳️✳️✳️✳️✳️✳️✳️✳️✳️✳️✳️ @danalouf The easiest way is to go to the "shop" tab at the bottom of the app, then go to "parties", pick a party to "attend" or shop, and at the top of that page is a tab that says "host picks" (also "main" and "NWT"). All host picks will be there and you can select, congratulate, share as you wish! 😊💚😽

advopharmacista @queenmumm I sold a bundle of three shoes immediately after sharing about 20 HPs of kids clothes party! But also got a lowball offer lol, and another dead end alert of someone adding those same shoes to a bundle. Which usually tells me I need to add a better selection to my closet. The shares are still happening!! Thank you for this tip!! I will not do again until I fill my closet more! 😂😂😍

I always suggest sharing from the HP feed because those are usually very active closets who have caught the attention of the hosts - because of their share strength. queenmumm @51twenty Oh... I think that's where you have an emoji in your username that can't be translated by the code. It becomes an "absent" emoji signified by the A or a ? in a box. Change your profile name and see if you closet name changes.

misterdiscount @queenmumm Shared and took your advice on being compliant. I didn’t know I couldn’t sell Pandora jewelry boxes that are part of their collection. So, they all have been removed. jessica2123 Hi 😍 thank you for all the tips! I have a question about a tip I saw, it’s not this particular one. You mentioned checking sold listings and sharing the closets of the buyer. How do we know who the buyer is? It seems like no one comments “thank you for your purchase” anymore & a lot of sold listings have no comments and several likers. What’s your best way to find people who actually buy on PM?

queenmumm @jessica2123 Hi Jessica! Thanks for the question. I have suggested in the past to find sold items similar to what you are selling and focus your follows and shares on the likers, not the buyer. The only verified way to ID a buyer is if they leave a love note on the purchase - but I feel that's crossing into the seller's territory and too "stalky". There are plenty of viable consumers out there via the likes. 😉
