lauramichelle26 @allthatjaz2424 someone was recently telling me that a package they received got wet and the person had used colored tissue paper and it bled into the article of clothing. It was something I honestly hadn't thought of since I package the same way as you. In this particular Poshmark fb group they suggested putting the item in a secure Ziplock bag first. I'm definitely going to do that because you never know. I just wanted to share!

To me I take each sale very seriously, I take my time to package, hand write each note and make sure everything is good to go! Also always make sure to answer any inquires as soon as possible! whitneygmartin @allthatjaz2424 Save yourself the money from purchasing baggies and use the priority mail soft envelopes. They're waterproof/resistant. I usually wrap my items pretty then place them inside the envelopes then in a box. Just a thought. :0)

whitneygmartin @allthatjaz2424 Nope. Free. All priority mail boxes and envelopes are free. It's only the flat rate boxes and envelopes that cost (...well kinda...you're paying for shipping with these...not the package itself).

whitneygmartin @allthatjaz2424 Not for priority mail ones. They are provided by the postal service. Some envelopes you pay for such as padded or decorative ones. But not these. Trust me. Next time you go to post office. Look where the flat rate boxes are. You'll see the other ones there too. Also, you can order them online (thru USPS) for free.

whitneygmartin @allthatjaz2424 THAT I don't know! But I do not believe you do. Pretty sure it's a courtesy USPS provides as well. I just grab mine from my post office. Check the flat rate stand at yours next time and see of they have them. If not just ask and they'll tell ya of you have to order them. My post office only carries these envelopes and the rectangular box. Anything else I would have to order from USPS online.

But it's Alaska and a small-ish town so they're used too seeing me because I always wait in line to get a receipt when I'm shipping a posh sell. That way I have proof of shipment...blah...blah...blah. Good luck (...with the grumps)!

nicolette524 @allthatjaz2424 EXACTLY! Which is why I love seeing fellow posters doing this. I shop A LOT on here and more then half the time what I buy is just thrown in a box and not even folded! Which makes me cringe bc if that's what other buyers receive they aren't going to come back to posh and shop! Did you see my listing about this in my closet, I have one too! I take forever to wrap stuff too like crazy long! But my customers don't mind waiting an extra day or two bc they love getting "presents"

To me it's special and I am very appreciative of each person visiting my closet and purchasing an item! So of course I would wrap it so nicely, and it's funny when I'm out I always am thinking of ways to wrap even better ways to step it up even more!! lol. I'm so glad you feel the same! I started as a buyer here back in 2014 and I didn't have a great experience soI deleted the account and forgot about it. Recently I came back as a seller and there's so much I need to learn including wrapping, I thought I was doing a great job because I took a long time wrapping items but apparently I'm not!!! The majority of the time they don't even take the time to accept the orders.

allthatjaz2424 @followme73 Hi there! Well one question I would ask is how are you wrapping each item with the tissue? Is it carefully wrapped? Or wrapped and rolled up? What type of tissue are you using? Do you have ribbon, etc? How are you interacting with your client base as well when they are inquiring about an item?

followme73 @allthatjaz2424 Thank you so much for replying, I I wrap it in my opinion very nicely, I do not use ribbon perhaps I should start doing that. As far as communicating with buyers I thank them when they purchase, ship same day, and I also let them know when I ship the item. However as far as buyers are concerned there's is absolutely no communication whatsoever I have a post in my closet about it. The only reviews I have on there are people that I have (days after the sale) to leave one.

I also take quite a bit of time to wrap each item with love and care. I like to really make it special for each person purchasing with me. vanessabyington @allthatjaz2424 no I ordered a set of boxes in diff sizes online for no charge and was not charged shipping..they sent me bunch of the white boxes with red/blue - they come flat and packaged to be protected so i can use brand new box every time! I’m still working on my packaging job as far as pretty paper goes and I always write thank u note but forget to include in box!

But the thing I am noticing is a lot of my clientele is not receptive to my thank you notes anymore or appreciative of it because I haven’t gotten any love notes in a while! I work hard on the packaging etc— so keep at it and don’t forget the thank you note lolol

I also signed up for their free service of notifying me when a package is on its way and delivered etc. hope this information helps you
