Wow I had no idea! Taking care of your boy and dealing with an abusive home must have been so incredibly difficult! I'm so proud of you! My son's dad was abusive - it takes a tremendous amount of courage to get out. I'm here for you if I can be there for you in any way Amanda! 😘😘

So sorry knowing you were going through this hell. I went through this many years ago with my 1st husband (aka dickhead). I escaped 4 months into the marriage but had to leave family & my home state behind due to the threats. That brief, albeit, traumatic time still haunts me today. I pray for you & your boys 🙏🏼

So happy for you!!! It is very hard to live with domestic violence but it's even harder to leave. I experienced it with my oldest daughters birth father but finally cut all ties by the time she was 4, got full custody and no contact with him. Yay for you!!!!! I've never experienced an abusive relationship, but shared a wall with a man who abused his wife. When we complained to our landlord, he started harassing and threatening and vandalizing our property and even hired 2 guys to beat up my boyfriend. Not the same, I know, but I'm familiar with that cycle and the fear and not feeling safe in your own home. It only ended when we broke our lease and moved out. I'm so happy for you, and all the others here who had the strength to get out too. ❤

@justpeep Thank you so much PFF! I'm sorry you had to go through that. It is an awful thing to experience, especially as a child I'm sure. That is what gave me the strength and drive to finally leave. Conner was seeing daddy do this and I was NOT going to have my son grow up and treat women the way daddy treated mommy!
