dzoobaby This is super cute! Do you know how much juice it holds? The capacity I mean. It looks like the little pitcher part is ceramic, is the part on top that does the actual juicing plastic or ceramic and are the edges of the juicing part sharper or smoother?

dzoobaby We grow our own lemons and the crop is ripe in January/February so we pick and squeeze it all up and freeze it in freezer bags to stack in our freezer for making lemonade all year so it is a lot of squeezing! I had an old glass one that was my great grandmother’s and it got broken and they don’t make the newer glass ones with sharp edges and the rounded ones don’t work as well.

soonergirl1169 @dzoobaby I’m not sure of the capacity, but if I had to guess I’d say 2 - 3 cups. The top part (juicer part) is ceramic as well. It is all smooth. None of the edges are sharp. I’m sorry your grandmother’s got broke. They just don’t make things like they used to!!

dzoobaby @soonergirl1169 no kidding, right?! Lol I thought it looked rounded but I wasn’t sure. That glass one that broke was awesome! It had sharp edges and was probably older than I am-she died over 50 years ago! My son broke it accidentally and it was just a Pyrex or similar but the newly manufactured ones don’t have the nice sharp point at the tip and the edges are more rounded. It’s probably because of safety regulations that weren’t in place in the 1950’s or ‘60’s!
