This wonderful dress is hard to come by. Made after the black and white versions, the fabric is finer and softer, with a gorgeously silky hand. It feels great and despite the volumes of fabric, it is flattering and fun ... with multiple ways of wearing it... Tie it up, let it down, belt it, wrap it close, let it flow free . . . this is a never ending challenge that can be styled to fit your mood. In perfect shape, it's been stored in the AS box in my costumer closet.

infynity I have this treasure and feel compelled to comment on how special this dress is! The fabric is remarkably soft and I feel like a 1993 princess in it. It's amazing! 👍😍

onceuponathyme @lululady hahahaha No ... I just uncovered ONE of the boxes. It had 2 Ditzy Parachute Dresses and the long black Parachute dress... but I'm keeping it... having discovered it's IMPOSSIBLE to find! :-)

onceuponathyme @classylola Hi, Karla. I did tag you, but I tagged you on the AS listing... next time I'll tag you on the actual listing. :-) This ties up to be however long you want it. At the longest it's a bit below the knee if you don't tie it up . . . but it fits like the white parachute - the fabric is softer and it hangs better, though, I think. You can tie it up as short as you like. This is the smallest I have - I think it was the smallest they made... the 8-10 is a small.

onceuponathyme @lululady The fabric is COMPLETELY different. I'm going to say at least half as thick on the Ditzy. It's closer to the way the silk long dress hangs. I don't have another in white, I don't think - but it's always possible. I keep finding surprises! :-) I do have at least one Nansea dress in white - although Karla has first dibs on it, since she barely missed out on the last white parachute I sold. The white one was first, then the black, then the Ditzy in brown and black. Mine are black. The ties are quite different on the white one from the Ditzy, too . . . The white one has one less cord. @infynity has both - Jenna, what do you think about the differences in the two parachute dresses you have?

onceuponathyme @lululady The white is also the heaviest... it's very heavy. I remember when I washed it before storing it it must've been 50 pounds when it was wet!

infynity @onceuponathyme @lululady I prefer the fabric on the Ditzy better; it's super soft and flows. The white is a heavier weight cotton and poofs out more. Both are awesome, but definitely different. 😊

onceuponathyme @infynity The black is like neither ... it's more "cottony" than the ditzy, but lighter weight than the white. The ties are - if I remember correctly - like the ditzy. The black one came out 2nd - awhile after the white. I'm still looking for the long black silk myself, and I really want the Ditzy long version, as well -- I have the long black cotton and the long green silk, but ... well, I want them all. hahahahaha. I've only ever seen one - perhaps it was the one you saw? And it sold immediately on a BIN - before I ever saw it. I was cursing and spitting to beat the band! ;-) I've been very busily creating my own long silk white one from two actual parachutes from WWI and WWII... That's how badly I want another! And of course they didn't make a long white one, so I'll have the only one. :-) It's quite an adventure. I have a Pfaff 130 sewing maching from 1952 that I'm loving. @lululady

I shipped an entire huge box of whites to a friend who had to wear white to a wedding. . . I can probably hook you up with something marvy... or maybe you want to borrow the white long silk one I'm working on . . . grin...

onceuponathyme @classylola Sorry, Karla - that was intended for Taylor - just a comment... I'm not selling the white one, and it's nowhere near done. WWII stands for World War II. I WILL be listing the black one, perhaps later today, but I have only stock pictures for right now... I didn't find it until I was hanging everything up after the last photo shoot was over.

onceuponathyme @raini311 Nooooooo!!!! I'm SO sorry to hear that. I had a miscarriage my first time around, and know that heart-ache. I was blessed a few months later with my baby boy (who is now 23...) My doc told me a lot of time there is a miscarriage to help pave the way for another pregnancy. I hope that is the case for you. Luck, prayers, and good wishes all winging your way.

thestylelister Hello! I love your allsaints collection and I have a couple of pieces of my own! I came across a full length parachute dress, but it doesn’t have any of the ties so unfortunately I can’t wear it.
