SUPER RARE Antique Purple Double-Ended Scent Bottle with Sterling Silver Caps

Antique double ended scent bottle in a rare amethyst color acquired from a reputable dealer in the UK. This perfume bottle dates to circa 1880 and measures approx. 10.5 cm. This rare double ended scent bottle has multi faceted diamond cut body and sloping diamond cut panelled shoulders. The bottle is fitted to both ends with unmarked but tested sterling silver hinged lids which have matching repoussé decoration. Both ends of the bottle have clear ground glass stoppers. This Victorian double ended perfume bottle is in very good condition - especially considering its age - with some light surface marks to the glass but no chips, cracks or fractures. Both necks are intact and both inner stoppers are also intact and undamaged (it’s rare to still have these!). The silver lids fit firmly and securely and have no dents or dings.
