Sky & Surf Bridal Pikake Necklace

An exceptional piece, this antique Hawaiian necklace has five strands of tiny shells strung in the traditional way to resemble the famed pikake (jasmine) flower of the islands. With a gorgeous and rare cats paw cowrie closure, very unusual ceramic beads on two of the strands, and a third strand with false pearls, this stands out and makes the art form its own. Its so full of ocean magic, my photos have failed to do it justice. Just over 26” long Silk strung Colors of white, blue, cream and pearly silver are present. MCM 50’s vintage with appropriate patina, most notably in the form of some broken shells. Tiny mongo are incredible at gathering light into themselves, but they are delicate.
