cyclespeed @michaelfogas I purchased these gloves and FYI, they are shells not liners (exactly what I wanted). Inside the shells there is a very thin layer of 100% wool fabric. The size XL Smartwool shells fits nicely over my mid-weight XL winter cycling gloves.

heartbefit I’m so glad I guess I don’t know the difference between shell and liner since I retired boarding 5 yrs ago but so glad they are what u needed🤌🏻

michaelfogas @cyclespeed looks like a nice option. I ended up with trigger fingered waterproof shell mittens to go over my winter riding gloves. They are perfect, lightweight, super compact for longer rides and they were only $22 new. I have used them repeatedly and they add exactly the amount of wind and wet protection I need when my hands start to get a little cold!
