kkazi Is there any way to reattach the sleeves on this gown?

katstyle @kkazi hi! The sleeves don't have enough fabric to give what you'd need to attach to fit over a shoulder. They have comfy elastic at the top and then hang loose at the wrist or hand. They can be moved higher/lower on the arm as you wish: they can sit at the armpit or inches lower, wherever you like. It's such an elegant, different look, you wouldn't want to attach them!

katstyle @elyse100 No worries, questions are a good thing! I am down for the count with a back injury for today at least, but tomorrow I will try and find the dress in the Posh box and get the measurements. Silly of me not to have included them in the first place.

katstyle @elyse100 If you haven't already done so, go to the beginning of my "Dress" section, and find information and a few separate posts about this designer, my friend Marian Clayden. She is world renowned, and the dress is deceptively simple in photos. The sleeves in particular make it very special, giving it a 20s/Art Deco feeling.

katstyle @elyse100 There is no sizing chart, her work is hard to categorize. If you tell me your height, measurements and usual dress sizes I can get a better idea - I know her garments very well and acted as stylist for many of her clients.

katstyle @elyse100 I’m glad to hold it for you. I’ll let you know if I can get at it tomorrow - the problem is I moved recently and it’s surrounded by boxes I’ll have to move to get the dress. I’ll do my best as soon as I can.
