VTG Stieff Smithsonian George Washington 1789 Inaugural Pewter Blazer Button Set

This vintage and collectible Stieff Smithsonian blazer button set in its original box from the 1970’s features a design replica commemorating George Washington's 1789 inauguration as the first president of the United States. Crafted from pewter, these buttons are a collectible piece of historical memorabilia that would make a great addition to any political or presidential-themed collection. The set includes 7 buttons, 3 large and 4 smaller ones, featuring George Washington’s initials surrounded by script reading, "Long Live the President.” Surrounding that is a chain of 13 linked circles, each having the initial of one of the original 13 states at the time of Washington's inauguration. The buttons are in excellent gently used condition from age and handling. Minor surface scratches noted on the back of buttons likely from removal. The box has general wear from age and handling.
