Handmade macrame pouch purse handbag with fringe
Vintage 1970's made at the Crossnore School in Asheville, NC, which was a foster home and community outreach group for children and adults. The Weaving Room, created in 1913 and expanded in 1936, was a program they created to help women in the community have economic opportunities and a place to sell their creations. Now, the Crossnore school is a private school and The Weaving Room is a nationally recognized historical museum.
The inside of this look as if its never been used but I did have to clean it a few times because there were surface stains on the outside. There are no stains anymore, but there is some pilling to the macrame
