Large handmade embroidery art on velvet, circa 1970s. Measures 19” square on the frame’s exterior (the picture / frame window is 16” square). Nature scene hand-stitched on black velvet, with a technique called Pull Needle Embroidery. A Blue Jay sits on a branch with pink-red flower blooms and spring leaves, reminiscent of Asian floral design. (Eighth photo shows underside). Finished with a beveled hardwood frame in a medium tone with natural grain. Cardboard back with hanging wire. A gorgeous addition to any room!
