The shoulder pads do have a stitch to tack them to the seam at the top of the shoulder seam where it meets the sleeve seam. Although it’s invisible, it’s a repair I made so I always use a close but not quite right thread color so you can see what I did. These shoulder pads are interesting because they extend past the inset-sleeve seam just a tad like true shoulder pads did to build out your shoulders
