What is the difference between Gucci and Paola Gucci watch. Why are they less money?
mystery_shack
@tut1972 Gucci was invented in 1921 by Guccio Gucci. When Guccio died he divided his company between his three sons. Aldo was one of those three sons and Aldo had a son named Paolo (Guccios grandson).

@tut1972 His son Paolo at one time was the cheif designer and vice president of the Gucci brand. Hes actually known for creating the double G monogram design that Gucci is known for. There was a lot of family drama between Aldo and his son Paolo. A fight that resulted in Paolo conspiring with his cousin to have Aldo removed from the company and jailed for tax evasion.

@tut1972 As far as the value if the items are concerned there was a lot of drama as to if Paolo had the rights to use the Gucci name for items that he created since he wasn't given permission to do so while working for the company. This is understandable since he was selling Gucci quality goods by a head Gucci designer at a fraction of the price. The Gucci story is actually really compelling.

@mystery_shack Thank you for all the information!!! I appreciate it!!!

@tut1972 Sure no problem. also remember Paolo Gucci stopped making items in the late 80s. So items with prices on it was priced for the time it was produced 40+ years ago. So 300$ in the 80s is like 1100$ if it was produced today.
