Vintage Pitcher Vase 6.5" Clay Incised Hand Painted Floral Design Flaw Incising is a technique used on many vintage European pieces that involves engraving a design by cutting or scraping into the clay surface at any stage of drying, from soft to bone dry. Then the piece is painted much like a color by number. Colors are overlaid to create more dimension and unique design. Measures: 7 1/2" handle to spout x 5" wide x 6 1/2" tall Condition: Handle has been repaired but done so beautifully. Would take close examination to find. I think it adds to the charm of the piece and would also make it a perfect vase for dried or live flowers.
