Vintage Handcrafted Doll from the Ivory Coast. Handwritten note pinned to the back says - Ivory Coast (1991) Town : Man Costume : Zoouly Informant : Bamba Phila, PA Tele : 492-1141. African Folk Art. Approximately 18" tall. Painted tribal mask on the face. Made out of fabric, feathers, straw, possibly horse or other animal hair?, wood, yarn, etc. Due to the materials used - this figure is on the fragile side. The fabric on the headdress / headpiece has some discoloration. The white fringe is falling off & getting all over the figure. Face has scuffs, marks, & signs of wear. Overall still in great condition - considering age & items used to make this item. Very cool item to add to your collection or to reflect your heritage.
