West German Pied Piper Wood Art Child's Room Nursery

1971 hand made West German wall plaque of The Pied Piper of Hamelin. He plays the flute and is accompanied by a small boy and several rats. On the back: "Mertens Kunst N 1035 Rattennfanger, Catcher of Hamelin, La Flute Enchantee" Made in Western Germany 197 by Alfred Mertens Pfullingen." Signed by the artist Ute (1937-96), daughter of the company founder. 9" tall x 5" wide CONDITION: Very good vintage condition - some light scratching. The tips of the pipers fingers are broken but could be painted onto the lower layer of wood. Please carefully look at the pictures, as they are part of the item description.
