Vintage Peony Brand Shanghai China Turquoise Brocade Floral Cheongsam Robe

EUC Gorgeous vintage late 1970-80's, turquoise rayon brocade robe with an embroidered oriental design with flowers, trees, cranes, men fishing, etc., from Peony Brand Shanghai China. The embroidery is done in shades of lime, mauve, burgundy, green and black. Robe has quilted accents at the collar and going down the front, and on the cuffs and at the pockets. The beautiful frog closures were handsewn on. Size tag says 34, but bust measures 18 1/2 inches across, which is a size medium or 8/10 by US size chart. There's a spot on the left arm even after cleaning, but they may have just missed it, because there were quite a few more and it looks like they were able to get those out. There's also a few faint marks and crinkling to the fabric, and the right sleeve lining or cuff seems like it was sewn a little off because the sleeve has a crease when you cuff it. I don't know that this makes a big difference as they're 3/4 sleeves anyway. Robe has slits on either side and is completely lined. This would make a beautiful special occasion dress or as a evening coat worn over a camisole and pair of slacks. Though you could toss it over a white tee with a pair of jeans and it would look just as good. Definately a statement piece that will get you lots of compliments.
