ANTIQUE VILLEROY & BOCH SAXONY FLOW BLUE PLATTER

This antique blue and white serving platter is of poppies & other blooms by Villeroy & Boch Dresden in the Saxony pattern, delightfully called the “onion pattern”. The blue glaze seeps & is known as flow blue, as it flows into the white like watercolor paint. Measuring 12”, it’s deep curved to fit most anything you wish! In EVC, w/no chips, there’s 2 wee unglazed spots (underside & side groove) & a blue dot on base all from the manufacturer, indicative of the time period.
