Do the waists have any stretch in them?

@phoebechadwick Hello. These shorts do have an adjustable Waistband that can be tightened on the inside to fit smaller or you can unfasten the buttons on the adjustable Waistband. In the photos provided the buttons are fastened and waistband appears smaller, so waistband does stretch open to maximum size. I hope this answers your question.

@phoebechadwick I understand. These are designed so that you can tighten them with the internal waistband and leave it buttoned to his size at all times it if the fit is good without using internal waistband you do not have to use it, just leave all buttons undone on the band at all times. You would just have to zip and button the front when taking on and off.
