Philippe Deshoulieres Pitcher, White Porcelain with Floral design. Vintage made in France. Vintage from the 1970s. The pattern is "Wild Flower" by Louis Lourioux. The pitcher stands about 6 inches tall, and holds about 16 ounces. Could also be used as a pretty vase - it would look especially nice with a bunch of wild flowers! In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
Louis Lourioux was a French potter born in 1894, and he took over his own porcelain factory in 1924. Unfortunately he was killed in a car accident in 1930, and his wife then continued to run the factory until 1949. In 1968 the old Lourioux factory was bought by Philippe Deshoulieres. It is now a museum.
