Javier Calleja is a Spanish born artist from Malaga, best known for his playful yet earnest approach to artmaking. On the Vans Classic Slip-On, creamy white canvas panels at the front and heel are fused together with a suede panel of the same color at the midfoot. Hand drawings of Calleja's characters are seen all over. A brown canvas strip lines the collar and the foxing tape bears a rusty orange hue.
